After I saw this......

I had no trouble making my decision to stay with Ford. For those of you that have not seen this, take a few minutes to educate yourself.

The next time a Toyota Tundra does a "Ricer Fly by" you can smile to your self.

Makes me feel much better about deciding to keep this truck.

Remember, it is still truck, not a sports car or luxury car. Ford did a fantastic job putting all those things together.

Yeah I won't be getting to work everyday in a race it because I think the Tundras are fast, its obvious. But I didn't keep it strictly for go fast reasons. If I want just that, I admittedly would have gone that route.

Safety
Ride
Real truck work (power, framing, towing)
Appeal (inside / out)
Design

These Ford trucks have it.

On the appeal side, I love the look of some of the other trucks on F150online better than mine but I still think mine looks sexy.

Yea...I agree...if I want to go fast I take a drive in my wife's Mercedes S500...runs 0~60 under 6 and 1/4 mile sub 14 seconds. I wouldn't drive it on a job site with a load of material though.

Question after I saw this

I can appreciate the info provided by Ford but isnt it old.
The Silverdado and the Trundra have been totally reworked.

I rode in a new Tundra the other day, it's fine if all you want is to drive in a truck that never sees anything other than asphalt. It was a wee bit bumpy driving through the pasture in it. I will stick with my Ford...or the 1965 Dodge flatbed.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer my '03 to any of the others. But you always have to question the validity of the "testing" when it's used as a marketing tool. I only say this based on 20 years as an engineer (10 years in automotive and including time at Ford).

Interesting. I like my Ford over the Tundra anyways. I didn't get it to race. I wanted something beefy.

Oh yeah, nice, classy, quiet, great ride quality which the Tundra is not. Tundra stole the interior design from the 80s.

I drove a new 07 Tundra for three days and I must say it is quite the truck. It seemed to handle MUCH better than my 05 KR, was quieter, more comfortable and better use of space in the cab. Some of the extras were nice as well, the power rear window....NICE, tailgate strut system, back leg room and rear seat adjustability, movable bed anchor points, towing capacity and the power.....it really gets up and goes!! Did I like it, YES.....will I trade, maybe. I want to drive the Avalanche, F250 and GMC Denali. I know they are all different types of trucks but I use mine for business and pleasure.

As for the argument of American Made.....that is a touchy topic due to a number of reasons. I am a union contractor and support unions but I also like to see the American economy thrive as well and with most Toyota's assembled in the US......kinda double edged sword.
