King Ranch w/Color Matched 22" rims

22" RockStar, Color Matched

Finally got my rims done 22” KMC RockStar w/ 305/45/22 Falken tires. I had them painted to match the truck. I was going to drop the truck 2”-3” then after seeing all the jacked up 6” lifts with 35” tires, I have decided to go up rather than go down. I bought the truck with the intention of adding color matched rims and then I fell in LOVE with the RockStars four months later they arrived. I love the color and the leather is very unique. I will post new pics as soon as I finish the truck. Enjoy!

Nice. Would look even better with color matched KR Logo center caps! Your truck looks good! Not to keen on the hood scoop though (on a KR). Is it functional?

I believe that's a Rousch scoop and, no. It's not functional.

Not sure about the wheels - it's just not my style at all - but, it's not my truck... it's yours!

Enjoy your ride.

I love the look...totally different...I have been debating painting my "feet" on the momo storms on my truck along with painting the word momo to be color matched as well....the guy at the paint shop told me that the paint won't stick to the chrome....what did your rims look like before you painted them?

Yes paint will not stick to chrome, my wheels came in black and then i had them color matched.

I'm not normally a fan of aftermarket wheels, especially the vogue for large chrome ones.

I think they may look alright in a sunny clime, but if I had them here in wet Welsh Wales they would look vaguely ridiculous.

Yours however I am quite taken with.

If they were mine I think I would do something though to break up the expanse of similar color paint to the bodywork.
I think a discreet pinstripe towards the edge of each spoke in the Arizona beige (Or as RP says whatever they are calling it these days), would look terrific.I love the star motif in the center...very suitable for Texas.

Well done ! (And I don't often say that about modded KR's!)

Looks good, but why did you go with low profile tires on a 4x4?

Thanks
It's a 4x2 and i was only going to lower it a couple of inches, front and back, but looking at all the trucks like yours, all jacked and riding high, i've changed my mind and going with a 6" lift and 35" tires. I just don't know what i'm going to do with 22" tires with less than 1000 miles on them, look for them on eBay!

Since you ask, here is an simple answer. Do you like your coffee Black, just the way it comes? Some people like a little more sugar to make it sweeter. I'm sure you like your truck stock, which is cool for stock, but i'm sure some people put mods on other things like a new scope on that sweet shot gun, new shiny tires on a double wide, or even a new soft plastic toilet seat cover. I like my stuff, it works for me and thats my 3 cents. I have nothing but love for all our differences.

P.S.

Tell me what you think of my old mustang? Should i have just bought a stock blue V6? Check out the link i'm sure you will LOVE IT!

No one upset here, you just asked "why do all that stuff to it?" and I answered.
So what did you think of the Stang?

I would lower it, based on the theme you already have going, plus the $ invested in tires and rims, just think it would look better lower than lifted.
