Center Console Organizers

Has anyone come up with a creative way to make better use of the center console. It's one giant cavern with no dividers.
Are there any aftermarket kits to fit into these consoles? I've looked at a few auto stores and also online but haven't had any luck.

I think the 250's and 350's have some kind of divider/organized from the factory, but have always wished my 2005 did as well.

I did notice that the little clip-like things on the underside of the lid can hold pens quite well, and the "tissue holder" works perfect for DVD cases!

Other than that I think we're out of luck

Thanks.
I started doing some more searches on the board and found that other either made up dividers or used desk and kitchen organizers.
I think I"m going to go to an office supply place and look for square pen holders or other plastic organizers to see if I can piece something together that will fit. Once I do I'll glue them together and see how that might work.

Any other ideas???

Thanks,
Bill

Your console doesn't have a divider in the top of it? When did FORD take that out? My 01 has a top piece that has a place to put cd's and pens, then of course the tissue holder in the lid.

Nupe. The 05's forward to not have it. That's definitely another 'delete' that Ford put in to irritate us that had the earlier model.

For the short term I went to Target and bought a couple of "clip together" kitchen organizers.
Pretty funky but it's better than the big cavern to keep a few things straight.
I went by the dealership parts counter and they didn't know of anything out ther to fit in.

To make matters worse the bottom of the console is rounded somewhat so anything with a squareed off bottom doesn't fit against the console wall.

What a crappy design and miuse of space. Ford should look at the RV manufacturers and get a lesson in space utilization!

I just purchased a king ranch and my last one I went to bath and beyond and purchased a TV Remote control organizer. I also would like something more custom. I am thinking about getting some thin wood you can get at the hardware store and design one of my own and paint it black.

Well I only have a Lariat and just bought my '04 (new style) a few weeks ago but I just grabbed a few of those rectangle shaped ziploc containers out of the kitchen. I too looked for ideas for a divider system but it is kinda nice to be able to grab a single ziploc container and pull it out with what you are looking for. One of them I use for keys and the other for change and miscellaneous stuff. It works good and keeps the little things from getting lost.

I have read many threads with different ideas that people come up with and I thought I would share my idea. It's too simple. It might not look the "coolest" but nobody is looking into my counsel anyway.

Hope that helps!

I just did a seat a console swap and still brainstorming this issue. On a side note I got an extra ash tray light and installed it on the inside back upper right side and ran a wire to the existing ashtray light which made it a boatload easier to see in there at night.

This is an old post, but party on. I did this https://www.f150online.com/forums/in...organizer.html and it worked great.
