Anybody else at all having problems with the paint on an 03 king ranch

 

I Have an `02 and have no problems with paint. What is happening with your truck?

 

Have an 03' here....no problems at all. Whats goin on with yours?

i'm not a KR owner but i'm going to guess that either the paint on your roof has started to bubble/peel or the inside edge of your doors/tailgate are starting to show rust. both of these are a very common problem that Ford knows about and should fix under your 5 year warranty. i'm sure these KR owners would like to hear back from you.

 

yeah it started flaking off on top of the cab probably about 8 months ago i believe it had around 53000 miles on it, ford repainted the top of my cab and i was told it was bad primer (now to me if its bad primer on the cab its bad primer on the whole truck). Well about last december i noticed between the hood and the fender was flaking off the same way.

 

I have a 2002 supercrew in estate green and I noticed the paint flaked off the roof of my truck about a year ago. The area is about the size of a nickel. Do you think Ford would take care of it. I used the touch up paint to fix it for now.

 

from what they are telling me if it has over 36000 miles on it no they wont fix it but they have fixed mine once with 54000 miles on it. So if you scream loud enough maybe. Good luck.
