Unhappy It has arrived!

Hello to everyone! Well, the 06 King Ranch has finally completed the journey across the big pond and arrived in Germany! I picked her up on Thursday in Bremerhaven and drove her home. I must say, this is a beast of a truck. The Germans tend to move out of your way.

Anyway, I spent today cleaning her up - she truns the heads. Anyway, I noticed the driver's side is the only door that has the black sill protector. Is this the normal way? I don't understand this - way only the driver side? The passengers will tend to rack their big clod-hoppers across the sills.

Any help would be appreciated. If this is normal, has anyone purchased aftermarket (or dealer for that matter) sill protectors? I obviously would like them to match as close as possible to the factory one.

Thanks! A couple German beers for ya!

Good deal, enjoy.

When I was in Germany (long time ago) American style Pick Ups weren't popular. Becareful on the Autobahn, these trucks dont handle like the little go fast imports do.

Put a big steel ranch hand bumper on it, that should open there eye's.

Take care

G

Thanks G. I have a little more time here, then I plan on re-locating into Texas, so this thing will fit in just fine. Trust me, I know the autobahn. I had a VW Jetta (I know....) that had the VR6 motor and that bad boy would scream....nothing like doing 130mph on the way to work!

BTW, do you have any info on the sill protectors?

Thx,

Joe

You should have sill protectors for both front doors.

Hmmmm...call the cops....I have been robbed! For some reason I only have the sill protector on the driver's side.

Does anyone else have this unique setup?

My 06 has only one on the drivers side.
You can see from this picture the black sill protector in the bottom of the shot.

Passenger side no sill protector.

My 05 only had the drivers' sill... to remedy this, I purchased Ventshade sill protectors...

Okay, I guess that having only one is the norm. I just find this odd.

Thanks for the link and all the help!
