Talking like the title of a Toby Keith song, SHE'S GONE !!!

At 4:50 PM today, Tuesday January 23rd, I was minding my own business, listening to Bubba the Love Sponge or SIRIUS Satellite, when suddenly a black Nissan UP/U Truck, decided to challenge me, to see who could get thru the intersection first.
I lost!!!! I had a "new" green light, west bound on Ray road at Alma School and I had the right of way, until I saw this truck was going to make a left turn in front of me.
She caught me in the drivers door and rear drivers door, tearing my rear wheel from it's suspension, shoving it toward the rear bumper, sending me in a full 180 degree spin.
I went thru the second half of the intersection, BACKWARDS and into a traffic control cabinet.
In slow motion, I saw what was happening, and STOOD on the ABS Brakes as hard as I could, swerved hard right, but to no avail, she chased me down.
As the smoke cleared, I was backwards, facing forward, not a place where I wanted to be.

I was OK, belted tightly in place, I opened my drivers door and stepped out. People were coming from all directions,
I already had 911 online as I approached her truck to inquire as to her state of consciousness, and if she needed Fire at the scene.
Her Air Bags had deployed, and her truck was filled with the dust of the bags. She asked how her 2 year old son was,
I looked in the back seat, to find him safely strapped into his car seat. I said, "Are you OK Buddy" he just looked dazed, like what the heck just happened.

Long story short, Baby OK, Mother taken to Hospital for checkup, Me, sore & shaken, but everyone's alive. Any accident you can walk away from is a good one, I guess!!!, or so they say

It's ok, given the hit you had perfectly understandable. Glad everyone is ok. You got a good attitude, not being mad, but concerned for the other motorist. Sorry about the truck, it can be fixed or replaced!

Angry No sense crying over spilled milk

I do not have the power to turn back time, we curcified the only man who possibly had that power, on a hilltop in Isreal, 2007 years ago.

So I just take the lickin, and keep on tickin,

Hell, I ought to change my handle to TIMEX

First and foremost, glad you're okay. There's always a new truck out there somewhere for you... looks like it really took a crunch. I love your girlfriend's comment about blanket and such. LOL!

While it's a material thing, I'd be pretty devistated... hope you're doing okay with it, bud. Best of luck to you on getting everything resolved. Let us know how it works out.

As for the addition of the photo(s)... simply add .

Obviously, remove the . on each end.

Thumbs down Thanks for the kind words RP, you rock

Here's the rub-----I knew it was too good to be true.

I went to my State Farm agent this morning, she tells me, got nothing to worry about, she was sited, her company (progressive) will cover it all.

Ok, I'm feeling the love here.

I call Progressive, speak to two different claims agents, no problems.
Then it happens, one tells me, WOW I saw your truck this morning bbefore they took it to the shop, really extensive damage, you might want to ask State farm to cover your truck, our client only had the state minimum, and it will barely cover the 23K for the traffic control box, no money to repair your truck. WWWWWWWWWWWWWW TTTTTTTTTTTTTT FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF ????

More to come tomorrow

Photo below shows, hit so hard, moved the rear end so far back, it tore the driveshaft out ot the transmission, and puked trans fluid all the way up the rollback tow truck

I would suggest that after they fix your M@ther#$%$#@# truck, then they will barely have enough money left to pay for the traffic control box. You know that makes me think, right there. The state minimum wouldn't cover my King Ranch, or my wifes Expedition. Good news is (where I live anyway) that hittin' your uninsured/underinsured coverage on your policy has no effect on your future insurance rates.

Wow.

I just looked in your album and saw how much personal work you had in that truck. Gosh...it was beautiful. You really had her nice and clean. I would be devastated if I was in your shoes!

I'm glad everyone is ok physically, and I wish you the best of luck with your financial situation.

Angry Forgot to mention

How do you like the 4 HOUR OLD WHEELS that i had installed at noon, the day of the accident. That was 1K wasted. I guess I could have used the money to help pay my repair job.

Man that sucks, first of all glad your okay. Second I know how you must feel, I have seen your truck many times online and know how much effort you have put into it, heck I followed in your footsteps with the painted mirrors, mudguards and more.

Its hard to say if its going to be a total loss from the pics, but I would imagine that you may want it to be. If all goes well with your insurance battle maybe you can find a new truck the same color and swap out the biggest part of your mods.

Good luck to you.

I've twice been hit by at-fault motorists in recent years (just got my KR out of the body shop yesterday, in fact). In the first case, illegal imigrant with no license, no insurance, no permanent address that anyone could nail down, etc, etc. Claiming against your own insurance in such cases should not in any way affect your rates (although depending on your policy, you may or may not get full satisfaction out of this approach). You will be out your deductible, at a minimum. However, they will go after your at-fault driver to fully recoup and will refund you the deductible once they do (sounds like your driver will have sufficient assets and will be trackable). You may have to get directly involved if it comes to wage garnishments and the like, as your insurance carrier may not be as aggressive as you would prefer, esp once they get their share back.

Thats crazy xtrucky....I told you I got hit the same day in the same drivers side rear door.....Luckily mine was parked, not nearly as much damage as yours, and we caught the bastard that tried to get away with it....the only difference

I have progressive claiming against HIS state farm policy

you are the opposite...I thought that was slightly humorous

I have had State Farm for round abouts 30 years. Twice in similar situations they have covered me then sued the other company with no loss or increase in rates to me. Good luck in how it goes!
