Newb here...Just bought a 2005 KR and have been tearing through the threads trying to answer questions and learn as much as I can about my new truck. The leather care section has been invaluable and I was able to get my leather looking brand new. It took 6 or 7 cleanings to bring the leather wrapped steering wheel new life.

When I bought the truck, I noticed that the center caps were not the KR originals, but figured I got a good deal, I could get them later.

Now I am starting to think that the rims are not the originals either. I don't know how to post a picture but if you cut and paste the link below and do a search on used trucks, my KR will be the 4th or 5th down. (Dealer wanted $26k and I paid $23K.)

They don't look like the standard 05 KR rims and thought maybe someone had seen this version before. Was there more than one version of the rims?

Those look like the Lariat wheels to me. Do you have 18"s or 20"s? The 2007's come with the option of 20" rims much like what you've got on yours, ie the FX4 and Lariat version.

They appear to be Ford wheels but not what should be on a KR, it looks like someone switched out the wheels before trading. Those wheels most likely came off an XLT or Lariat truck.

Keep an eye on Ebay you might find some KR wheels there, you can also get the 20 inch wheels if you prefer.

 

I also had those on my 2005. They are sitting on a shelf now. 18 inchers.

 

Yep... that's the *stock* 18" wheel for the 2005 KR (as shown in my pic above). In 06', they added a 20" option.

Those are XLT wheels, I believe.
