Why ??!!

If you do that you might as well replace all the other Arizona Beige trim as well !

The contrast is classy as it is !

Yea, it is classy...and it's what sets the KR apart from the other trucks. I really want to minimize the chrome and AZ beige clash though, and since the whole upper half is black I figured I'd gets some opinions. I'll note that as at least 1 reason to keep it.

I vote change it to black would look much better with all black up top and your beige at the bottom

I've been contemplating the same change on my black 250, I like the Az. Beige on the bottom of the truck as an accent, but the bed rails really stick out on black, I think black would look nice.

For comparison purposes, here is an older pic of my truck with the stock running boards, and another current shot from the pass. side (note chrome exhaust tip). What I did like about them was that they tied in the AZ beige bed rails much better...However with the 5" tubular ellipticals, I dont know...

Put a Black bed cover on, it will hide the bed rails.

FWIW, I agree with you on potentially changing out the rails... but, let me be clear, I think that the idea is valid ONLY because of the wheels.

It's not mine but, I wouldn't have gone with the wheels solely because of the issue that you're facing now...

A lid is an option...

Believe me, I thought long and hard about every one of the chrome upgrades. At first, it was just the LT handles, but then I got the fever and was suckered in. Great deals on the wheels and steps and the rest was individualist history. The truck looks great in person, much better than pictures show as far as chrome and beige is concerned. Just looking to balance the theme out a little now. A lid is certainly an idea, a little more expensive than swapping the caps, but much more aesthetic value. BTW, thanks guys for all the advice.

Hi D40,
Curious which tubular bars those are? I've got an 07 KR and want to replace the running boards and trying to figure out which bars I want.

BTW, Your truck looks great with the beige bed caps... Although I think the black would look great as well...

Thanks!

They are 305/45/22, and yes, I have ground force shackles. My truck is 2wd and I experience no problems other than slightly reduced gas milage, and my speedo is about 2.5 miles per hour slow.

Born4flying-I have the Ford aftermarket 5" tubular elliptical running boards. I purchased them from http://www.fordgenuineaccessory.com Dont remember the cost as i bought several things, but I do remember they were the cheapest place I could find.

BTW I decided to go ahead and put a snuglid on it, and I'm going to remove the LT handles, and swap them with the PTM handles off of the 07 KR. While looking at RockPicks' pic, it occured to me. This would leave me with solid black up top, and chrome and AZB down bottom. It's kind of hard working on the truck, cause I'm in the sandbox right now, but I already ordered my next mod -07 navigation.
