armorall leather gell

i used this armorall gell a couple weeks ago and it seems to have conditioned my seats better than the kr stuff or better than the other couple products i have used. i found no matter how i put the kr conditioner on i would get white residue spots in areas. not so with the armorall. this is the first armorall product that i have used and like.

any others use this gell? whats your opinions?

I've been using it too. I haven't noticed any problems so far.

I recently tried the KR Leather treatment for the first time / having used CPR since I purchased my KR (used). It applied easily but left the white residue in the seams once it completely dried and would not buff off. So I'm back to the CPR but will try the ArmorAll GEL product as well.

I just wish that there was a product that once dried would leave the leather with a bit of a sheen / a shine that is what the back seats look like.

Why does that shine disappear? I notice it looks like a clear coat came off. Im like you, the back seats look perfect.

Between the odor and the aforementioned residue, I never bought another bottle after finishing my first bottle of KR conditioner that came with my 2001...

For those of you who don't know, many of us lucked into 'goodies' with our 2001!

Well, I thought the consensus was KR Conditioner, so I went and ponied up for two bottles. After one use, it's clear I'll never use it again (took almost two weeks for that foul odor to clear, can still catch a scent of it). But I've never been impressed with anything from Armorall. So, how does it smell?!

I'm totally baffled by this reference to a smell with the KR conditioner and occasional mention of residue.

I suppose I must have used a dozen bottles of the stuff over the past 5 years on the 3 F150 KR's and now the Expy.

My wife is supersensitive to odor and neither she nor I have ever smelt anything untoward.
I have never had a problem with residue, and all our seats are as good as the day the vehicle was new.

I always squeeze the conditioner onto a shop towel and gently rub it in one panel at a time ...... ie 4 areas on each seat face. I do one whole seat, front and back ..... then gently rub with another clean shop towel before moving onto the next seat.
I did the Expy yesterday, which of course has 6 seats, and it took no more than 25 minutes, for the whole thing.

No smell
No Residue
Soft and supple
Look as good as new.

Y'all aren't doing it right.......or applying the conditioner correctly either.

Well, with regard to the residue, I might have to agree with you. I do mine by hand, working it in fully before moving on, and did not have that problem w/ the KR stuff. But the smell in my truck was exactly the smell that comes out of the bottle (pour some into your and and take a whiff, if you don't smell that, then you have a different formula, an older product, a newer product, a different schnoz, an older shnoz, or a newer shnoz!).

That stuff totally wiped out the smell of my natural KR leather. Even though the smell of the conditioner is now (mostly) gone, so too is the wonderful smell of the natural KR leather! I think the return of warm weather will rectify that, though...

And that particular passage warrants a different thread, a different forum, and, indeed, a different website altogether, Lenny!!!

I can't imagine WHAT you're talking about.

PS I suppose being down here in South Tx might make a difference.
I don't suppose there's ever been a time when I've applied it at less than 70 degrees, and mostly in the 80's.

(PS That applies to the KR conditioner as well)
