Arrow Best applicator cloth?

I just ordered two bottles of the king ranch leather conditioner...mainly because of the poll in this forum...(thanks guys)....and I have heard of some people having problems with a white filmy haze because of putting too much on....so I'm wondering what is the best kind of cloth to use to put it on with? Many thanks for all replies!

I know it'll sound goofy but, I've always preferred to apply via my hand... To me, it seems silly/wasteful to saturate a cloth with expensive conditioner and then only end up using a small portion of it out of the cloth.

Also, I'm not certain but, I don't think the 'haze' was due to over conditioning... I'm sure that's all up for debate though. I had this white haze problem with the KR conditioner but I feel very confident that I didn't utilize an excessive amount of conditioner on my 01'. Maybe I had a bad bottle? Bottom of the barrel so to speak... *shrugs*

I have always put it on with shop towels (Always washed at least once though first), then remove with the same.

I have never had a haze problem and only ever seen it mentioned once in these forums.

I would like to add that I too use my hands to apply the KR Conditioner. It just seems to apply easier and even.

@ Lenny...

And, actually, my hands do feel kind of smooth and silky after applying conditioner.

I'm sure I'll end up with some rare form of cancer from doing it though... tis life I suppose.

Why don't use surgical gloves to protect hands and also gaps of you nails?

I use the KR branded conditioner. The first time, I used a terry towel. Worked fine. The next time, I used my bare hands. Worked great. I'll never go back.

I use the Mequair's Microfiber Even Coat Applicator. I have had very good success with it.

I use my hand to apply the cleaner/conditioner to my lariat and lincoln seats, but I chickened out on the king ranch and just used a mf towel.

What is the best product to use to remove the leather conditioner? Do you also use it on the steering wheel? Is there anything I need to know for doing it for my first time? Thanks

I typically go back over mine with a nice microfiber towel... not a cheap-o microfiber. The cheap-o's will leave a massive amount of lint behind (or at least most of the cheap ones do). This leaves a 'gliterry' looking effect on the leather.

I made that mistake exactly once...

Yes to the wheel.

Yes, use the KR conditioner on your steering wheel. It will clean it and get the dirt and body oil off of it. I was amazed at the difference in mine after I cleaned it the first time.
