Looking at xplan pricing on a KR 4x2 @ $40,605 pricing with all discounts and rebates comes down to $32,788 here in Louisiana.
If you give me the zip code of the dealer in question, I can give you the xplan price on that exact truck.

No problem. Here's your info.
MSRP: $41,700
XPLAN: $37,333
Gas$: $1,000
Cust$: $2,500 (in lieu of low rate financing)
Price w/XPlan and rebates: $33,833
Even without X-Plan you should be able to get pretty close to that price.

A year ago you could have got that truck for 32k.
That's what I would offer, and go from there.
Anything between 32,000 and 33,833 would be a fair deal, imho.
Be prepared to walk away if they don't budge. They will call you at home, within a day or two.
I paid 28k for mine, but it's 2wd. The one you're looking at must be 4wd.

Don't mean to rain on your parade, but........
I just bought a KR on thursday and am A-plan. I was told by the dealer and double checked with a call to ford and the cash rebates CANNOT be combined. This means you can get either:
$2500 cash back
OR
$1000 cash back plus 0% financing (what I chose, you save more money in the long run)
OR
$1100 gas card (its $1100 for certain models like the F150 instead of $1000) plus 0% financing
If you get both the $2500 and $1000 plus 0% financing, let me know...I will go ape at the dealership.
I paid 34700 before tax after the rebates for my almost completely loaded 4x4KR....thats A plan price.

If you have A-Plan, you should have access to myplan.ford.com. Go there and check it out for yourself.

thanks for the info
Its my father-in-law who works for ford, and this isn't the sort of thing i could ask without getting a lecture at this point.
When I went to the dealership, I specifically asked if I could combine the $1000 with the $2500 and they said no. I had looked it up on edmunds.com beforehand. They said if you took the $1000, you had to take the financing, and since you took the financing, you couldn't take the $2500. I believe they were wrong.
I took the 0% over 60 months + $1000
It probably works out to a wash to slightly in my favor (6% here for a loan outside of Ford, which on a 35K vehicle I figured would be about 4500 in interest over 6 years), but I hate every time I go to a dealership, it seems like I'm the one telling them about their rebates. AGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!
I'll have my father in law look stuff up next time, didn't know he could.

correction
i also did not know you could finance it over 6 years (they told me only 3). did not calculate it really close because I thought I was looking at only $1500, not $2500 difference and I knew it would be much better than $1500.
The interest I would be charged at a 6% rate on 35K:
72 months: $6743
36 months: $3334
So, taking the financing is actually a better deal in most cases.
