Whats your opinion?

I have a KR 02 4x4 5.4 with shell. I thought I got a good deal on this and wanted to know how well does this truck do.

I am a Ford guy and have owned 6 trucks (all Fords) and I just love this unit and want to know your opinions, views on the following:

Towing
Transmission
Engine
Problems that you might have had....

My vehicle history as far as repair:

Transmission was replaced/rebuilt by Ford unknown reason (checking into it)
Computer brain was replaced due to sending wrong "shift" signals to trans.
Truck as a little high miles (88000) but it runs very well and body in great condition...

I have an '02 4x4 KR as well with 30k miles now and have really only had my sunroof replaced. Other than that my Tomas has been a perfect truck.

No problems whatsoever with my used '03. Tows great, runs great, looks great. I also looked at the warranty repairs under the first owner and no problems there either.

Enjoy your truck!

Had to have my Power Steering pump replaced twice in the first 30,000 miles on my 01 however I was driving in some pretty rough roads at the time. Never had any problems with it I would take it in for service and they would tell me it was leaking and I would tell them to fix it. Other than that I had to have some A/C work at about mile marker 90,000(yea for extended warranties). Now have 103,000 miles on it.

Mine is an '01 KR Screw 4x4. Bought it used for a good deal also. Problems so far include having to replace the entire sunroof assembly and replace driver's power window switch. Also broken but not repaired are the driver's side seat heater (which I won't fix because of cost) and the keyless entry pad (which I will fix at some point). The truck only has 51,000 miles on it mainly because the first owner did not drive it much in the small town where he lived. I've always been a Ford truck driver - '71 F100, '76 Courier, '89 ranger, '97 F150 and this '01 F150 KR - and the '01 has had the most major repairs I guess because of all the electronic stuff crammed into it.

Maybe too new to tell...

Mine is only eleven months old now with 10,800 miles on it. It may be too soon to say but so far it has been perfect. I expect it to turn out like all of my past F-150s have but this one is even nicer with the KR option.
