First Warranty Work on KR

Have never had a problem with my 05 KR, 26K till last week. The sliding rear window wouldn't work. I banged on it and it worked, for a while.

As most of you know, I own a repair garage and never bring my truck to shop, even for the FREE oil change.

Anyway they did a great job and had it fixed in a couple of hours. Said there has been problems with the sliding rear glass and they replaced the motor.

They also informed me that my rear brakes were close !!!! I said What!!! are you kidding me. Sure enough the rear pads were down to "Thin". The front are still plenty good. Took truck back to my shop and did the rear brakes with Ceramic AkieBono [spelling??] linings. While we were doing the brakes I noticed that the right rear axle seal is starting to leak. I'm taking it in Wed/Thur for that repair.

Just surprised that the rear brakes are gone so soon and before the front. I don't tow anything and really don't carry are weight. Maybe 4-6 tires from time to time. Lots of start and stop though.

Anyone else go through rear brakes this soon??

Same thing

I have an 05 KR with just over 26k miles on it. Power sliding rear window started "sticking" at about 19k miles. I banged on it a bit at first, and it worked on and off. Now it's completely "stuck." Guess it's time to take it in to the shop....

Found out from the dealership that Ford has been having a problem with the sliding rear windows on the screw's.

Works good now.

My driving is all start and stop around town, chasing parts, taking customers home, etc. Very little highway mileage. I'm sure that is why my brakes went out so soon.

Maybe the parking brake is sticking?

That has been a problem on these trucks.

Parking brake is a seperate drum brake set up that is in the middle of the disk brake. It looks like new. Never use parking brake here in Florida. No Hills !!!
