hey guys,

any of you have an ashtray that rattles when closed? mine will rattle when closed but not when it's open. anything i can do about it other than just leave it open all the time...

 

I had that on the '06 Demo I was driving, but not the one I ultimately bought. It drove me crazy.

 

Two-sided tape? Hot glue?

 

Warranty item? Why not. Next time you're by a FORD "stealership" stop in and ask the Service Manager about the rattle (take him for a quick trip to hear it himself). I have had good experiences dealing with service managers when they see the King Ranch - offering to fix little things right then "on the house" or just for the cost of a replacement part - if it's more than a few bucks.
