Question Headlight Upgrade

I have a 2006 KR and was going to put in some Sylvania Silver Stars to get as close to a HID light as I can with upgrading the whole light system. My replacement number is 9008/H13. I thought the Silver Star 9007 would work but it's an intirely different structure. Any thoughts?

Can you tell me what company on ebay is selling the lights?, or the brand?

Thanks for your help!

Regards.

Sylvania reports that the SilverStar bulb will be available for the headlights by the end of the year. Having had several sets of Silverstars for several vehicles, I'll be waiting on them... I secretly desire to upgrade to true HID... not enough $ in the world for all the mods!

Silver stars

I had a 2001 super crew, added silverstars and noticed NO difference, what so ever. I hope they have improved recently.

I put Silverstars in my 2001 KRScrew, both headlights and foglights. I noticed a big difference, see much better.

I put one side in, left the originals in the other...just to compare against my garage door. I could see the difference.

The other thing I noticed is that they are BRIGHT when I'm looking back at the truck with both sets of lights on. They were much brighter than the lights on several other vehicles parked next to mine.

I like 'em...

I got tired of waiting on the silverstars and put in a set of Sylvania Xtravisions
They are an improvement over stock, but are not as bright as the Silverstar.

Rockpick, I hope you info is correct. I will definately be buying a set

Unless you have cleaned / polished your headlight lenses you've got over 5 years of yellowing going on and no matter which lamp you use you will not yield the output intended. Polish your lenses and see the difference.

Question

Speaking of the Silverstars, I put a set in my KR when it had about 2k miles on it. That was three years and 38k miles ago. But one of my low beam filaments took a dump on me in the Silverstar bulb and I had to replce it this week. I thought it was a little too early to have to replace a bulb already but anything can happen I guess. Just wondering if anybody else has had any issues with the Silverstars blowing? Anyone?
