Pee on KR Leather seats! Need HELP!

Hey Fellow KR guys,

Get ready to laugh all I’m going to say!

After working a long 4-12am shift I decided to go hang out with my best friend girlfriend since we both work together. Well after night of driving around town in the King Ranch finding nothing to do and all the local cops but some low life punks I called it a night.

So after I dropped her off at her house I drove my half awake self home and crawled in the bed. I woke up later that day things seemed fine. I find out my father went in to my truck found my passenger seat was soaked! I figure so and so must left my window down maybe a little rain nope. Turns out the my best friends girlfriend pissed all on my seat never told me about it then took my coat placed it over this huge 1 foot spot of soak leather.

(Who Pees on someone car seat doesn’t tell them right that minute so you can pull over. Guy I’m not talking a little like a least cup or 2 maybe Ugh!)

Well I found my 2002 F-150 Truck Service manual I download online so I figure out how I can pull out the bottom cushion from the Captains chair. Now my question is does anyone know any cleaning products that are safe to clean the leather? I thinking maybe just letting it soak in some leather cleaner for a few hours then let it dry out? I order 3 bottles of the Conditioner off the King Ranch site. But if anyone got some feed back on this one I could really use the help. I believe the form I can pull out just soak in some heavy duty cleaning products to kill the pee odor. Its just the leather I’m worried about.

I guess she’ll never get a ride in the King Ranch again, and be sending her the bill for the cleaning products!

All so…Dose anyone have a problem with there 2002 King Ranch starting up in Over Drive? Cause mine starts up in overdrive every time. I just took my truck to the dealer last mouth after the transmission was banging gears and every time I come to a stop sign my transmission would slam the gears so hard I’d fly forward. I was covered under my 100K warranty thank god! so they ripped my whole transmission apart found it was the Over drive bearings that ripped to ****.

My question is does anyone truck start up in over drive or just in drive cause I thought overdrive was for 55MHP+ dealer telling me nope. I’m really starting to question some of the people that work at this dealer ship in New Hampshire cause I can never get a straight answer from no one.

Thanks Guys,

R. Scott.

PS: RockPick, I know your going to get a laugh out this thread! I’m sure you have the answer for this one you seem to know all on these forums! Thanks again.

There are lots of active threads on this subject right now. I consider myself to be somewhat of an aspiring (if reluctant) expert on cleaning KR leather. I recommend the cleaner (not conditioner in this case) from Connolly. You can buy it from a number of websites. Mix it 1 part cleaner to 12 parts water and feel free to work up a big lather with a spunge or cloth. Then clean with a wet (but not soapy) spunge or cloth. Then buff dry with a microfiber. Repeat as necessary.

Question: I really don't want to smell **** odor in my truck can mix the Connolly leather clener in water just let it soak for few hours then dry out? I am also think just soaking the form under the seat in other bucket cause this girl really pissed all over my seat and it's deep down in there I'm not gonna be happy camp til this is fix.

Thanks Svermill

D-Pend's

With a name like K9, I assume your friend was a dog... woof... woof. ..

I would try these three things:

First, remove the Castino leather seat cover and take it to a good Chinese dry cleaner. Any language can smell pee, but find one that will not remember your name. No ticky... no laundry...

Second, get your friend some d-pend's for his girlfriend. She obviously had a bladder discharge from laughing, being wasted, or truly was a dog and wanted to leave her mark.

Third, Either find a new friend or join a dating club before she pee's on your tires in the church parking lot.

Good luck my friend,

I personally wouldn't recommend that approach (and nor does Connolly). The idea is to let the soap do its thing and then get it off of the leather so nothing is left behind and so that there is no discoloration. You can use this cleaner pretty aggressively and you can use it numerous times without doing any damage, so I think with a few iterations you'll be OK. Keep us posted...

Don't forget that Wiz is Bio-degradable and yes natural. This is not ink or something like coffee. It wants to breakdown on its own. Mixing it with H2O or cleaner will only slow down or stop that process. My thought is try a pet urine cleaner to start the process moving forward at a fast pace. These products cause the urine to breakdown faster and is natural. Time is the key here, dont rush. It will take some time but if it breaks down on it's own, the smell should be gone for the most part. If it is not, move on from there with a good cleaner and be sure to let it dry out really good.

You need to be very, very careful with this Castano leather. Pet cleaners may very well deal a fatal blow! The cleaner I mentioned was an extensively tested one.

I was not taking about a cleaner as much as a product such as simple solution that breaks down the urine. Of corse try it in a spot unseen for staining. Most products for urine removal/breakdown are just enzymes and alcohol. Just my 2 cents.

I definately don't know all... this one is a new one for me. You are right that I got a little giggle out of the topic though.

I think you're going down the right route on figuring out how to break the urine down before going any farther but, by the same token, I'm not sure how the products that achieve that will react with the leather. Definately make sure to let whatever you try dry on that inconspicious place before going forward on an entire seat cover.

MikeF150 swears by the Leathermaster stuff. It's next on my agenda to try out when I'm out of some of the other 500 products I've tried and dabble with... It comes highly recommended -- maybe give it a try?

Best of luck getting it taken care of... Please post back about what you figure out. While I hope no one else needs this information, it'd be nice to have it archieved on the site so that it's searchable for someone with a baby accident or... well, a buddy's girlfriend's accident. LOL!

I understand what you're suggesting and all ideas and thoughts are appreciated by all, I assure you. I'm just urging a little caution to anyone considering this advice. Anything with alcohol in the solution would immediately be off of my list of things to try. This is not your typical leather surface. You can do damage in many different ways. Some things might cause discoloration. Some things might turn the leather into a cracked and hardened waste after a time (might take some time, spot test doesn't necessarily reveal the "rest of the story" in the short term). Some things (alcohol comes to mind) might do both and then some.

You've bought yourself a top-notch interior that's a thrill to own. Be careful with it and the products you use to maintain it...

I agree with svermill. Be very careful on what you use. I personally have not used the Connolly soap but from the research that I have done, the Connolly soap is your best bet. You do not want to use anything that will dry out the leather.

Think of the leather as your own skin. Some things are very harsh and you don't want to use anything that would be harsh to you since the leather is a dead skin that relys on you to keep it clean and replenish oils to keep it looking good. Good luck

You may even want to check out petstores for cleaning products. I have used this http://www.petsmart.com/global/produ...27s+mircle&N=2 around the house for years when we had an elderly dog and also an older cat that the bathroom became wherever they were when the mood struck them. It is a clear liquid you can spray of dab on, of course test it in an obscured spot first. Simple Solution would probably work howewver isn't that green? I'm afraid the pores on in the leather will grab that dye and never let go of it. Granted have a green spot is only slighty better than having a seat that smells like urine(don't turn on the seat heater ).

You may be thinking of Simple Green, which like it's name is green. Simple Solution is a clear liquid. There are lots of pet products like this one that all do about the same thing.

Worst case buy a new seat cover.

I am very paraniod about my seats, so I bought some extra skins off of ebay. They usually show up once or twice a month. I am going to take my originals and get them redyed. I have an a full replacement set for the front as well as 2 extra seat bottoms. I could part with the extra bottoms if you don't get the problem corrected. I hope that does not cross the line Rockpick.
