Ford offers 5K cash back

If you haven't pulled the trigger on an F150 and have been lurking here, Ford announced $5000 cash back on remaining '05's and $3500 on '06's.

Now if I could just get an A-plan PIN.

Probably wouldn't be able to play the A-Pin card along with the 5K cash back... they typically snub that. Although, if they didn't, wow... what a deal.

They confirmed X plan (which I do have) and claim they will take A plan, I just don't have one.

Impressive deal! I can snare a pin (through a retired step-father in-law - ZPlan) but, I'm not really in the market...

what price breaks do you get from an A plan, or Z plan

I used an X on my truck but it wasn't a whole lot.. the cash back bonuses now would have given me a better deal....

Simple Plan Pricing was very close to invoice pricing, which is close to X-Plan (all within a couple hundred bucks of each other, but yes, the cash back is on top of your best deal.

Ford cash back bonuses have always been in addition to X plan or your best price.

Ford's X Plan price is 4 percent over Ford employee price (A Plan) and just below dealer invoice, so if you deduct 4 percent from what you paid, that's what it would have been with A plan. For example, on a $43,030 stickered KR, A plan is $1454 less than X.

Not sure about Z plan...but I think it is the same as A in terms of price, but Z is for retired employees and A is for current.

When brought mine with the simple price setup around the first of Dec
they had the $3500 cash off too. Thought might have gone up a
little after the first of the year on 06's. Also didnt know if still was
promoting the simple price plan

Sorry Centex if I wasn't clear, but we are saying the same thing. The cash back is in addition to X plan or Simple pricing or whatever deal you make. You get them both.

That said, I think Simple price was basically a discount similar to what X plan would be...it was like the dealers were just openly offering dealer invoice to the public without any haggling, then you could deduct the cash back from that.

Since brought the truck havent looked at the ads or noticed anything on
TV. So when saw the post thought they might raised the cash back
up from 3500 being a couple of month down the road. Are Ford and
GM still talking employee pricings/simple price plan or does purchasers
have to sit down and haggle now.

I am pretty sure it is back to haggling, unless you are eligible for X, A, Z, etc. It is pretty easy to get a dealer to sell you a vehicle at invoice or a 100 or 200 over. When you do that and take the $3500 off, it's not a bad deal. It's a great deal if you can find an '05 left. But again, most folks here already have a great truck, just thought I would post in case someone was thinkin' about it.
