Traffic display on radio?

I was jacking around with the RDS button on my '02 KR the other day and turned the traffic option "on" for the heck of it (have no idea what it means). Tonight while I was driving back from Shreveport to Longview my radio lights started flashing and the "TRAF" display was showing on the radio..... does anyone know what this means?

I believe it flashes when a RDS enabled radio station broadcasts a traffic report.

Edit: here's a site for it

Hey Aggie'98, I think Country_duck is right. Off topic, but what part of Longview are you from. My Grandmother lives across the highway from the International Truck Stop there. Of course she has a big ugly fireworks warhouse blocking her view now.
