Does anyone know if the woodgrain pattern in the 05 KR is the same as that of a Lariat? I'm searching for a dash kit, but only find them available for the Lariat. Any help appreciated.

 

Lariat woodgrain pattern is lighter than the King Ranch.

 

I also think from what the brochure liiks like, the KR wood grain is burled walnut style, while the lariat is straight-grained.

 

My Kr looks identical to the Lariat's (05's and 06's). Ford had an Oak color in the 04's and went to a darker shade in 05 like a cherry color.

Do those 3m dash kits look as good as factory? I always worried that they would not stick flush or may begin to pull away from the molding. Which company are you looking to buy from?

 

I used a woodgrain kit on my first 01 KR and was surprised just how good it was.
They used 3M adhesive and they were really well moulded and contoured pieces.
It's a while back and I couldn't tell you which company it was but I'm sure they will be just as good now, whatever you choose.

 

I'm looking at a site called wooddashexperts.com. The site just list products for the Lariat. When I called, they really didnt know if it matched or not. They didnt even know that the KR was made in 05. I'm just looking to accent the prexisting trim, and not overdue it.
