2001 KR SCrew Wheel Cap

I need a wheel cap for my 2001 KR SuperCrew....lost one after having a tire destroyed by something on the road this week. Where can I get one? Is the dealer the only source for these?

Watch ebay.com for one... they float across there on occasion. Secondly, www.fordpartsnetwork.com or your local stealership.

Best of luck!

I looked there, but didn't see the KR wheel cap, just the regular Ford cap and the SVT cap. Did I miss it?

I'll check with the local dealership.

Thanks!

Not a guarantee that you'll find one on ebay... just more of a suggestion because I've seen them float across there several times.

Not sure what the stealership will charge but, I'd bring your wallet... and your ATM card... and the deed to your house.

I can now tell you...just talked with the parts department at Sawgrass Ford here. It's $48.70...not in stock...I have to pay first, then they order it.

Very appropriate...stealership...very good.<g> Somebody still selling those KR rims...with the cap?<g>

Alright! That sounds great! They're the standard KR wheel caps. I'll try to get a photo.

I see you're in the Keys, keypilot... We were supposed to go camping down near Big Pine Key last month, but Wilma cancelled those plans. Worst storm I've been through...kicked the hell out of us here in Broward Co. I was here for Andrew, but we only saw a couple of gusts over 100 with that storm. This was MUCH worse here.

And I don't care what the experts are now saying after the fact... I saw sustained CAT3 winds and CAT4 gusts here...it was very impressive. My whole house was shaking, and it's rated for 130. A CAT3 will see us down the road from here on out... Amazing display of power.

yeah man! it was ugly. the wind was bad but the storm surge is what did us in. i was lucky, only 8 inches in the garage, and the house stayed dry. but my friends had 5 feet inside a house they had just finished remodeling and had no insurance. it could always be worse.

anyway, are you comming this way anytime soon? you could save the stamp.
i was going to post a pic of the caps i have, but i cant figure out how.

I'll try to get a picture and post it... Storm surge isn't a problem where I live out near the Everglades. The slab on my house is right at 10 feet above sea level, which is roughly 2 feet higher than most around this area.

I'll be headed to Pennekamp in April. I'll be happy to pay the postage.

TLeBlanc - Just synch your Treo and the pic will show up in your Treo Pictures folder. Then copy that to your gallery and post it. Simple.

I'll give that a try... Since I usually sync at the office, I'll look for it there. Need to finish reading that manual...<g> Thanks for the tip!
