18" or 20" wheels?

Just looking for some opinions here:

First of all, after seeing a copper KR at a local dealer with 20's I had to get em. The dealer quoted me 489 per rim and 190 per tire. I picked up all 4 with tires (used, 100 miles on em) for 1400 on eBay.

What is everyone's opinion on the looks and if you have them, how is the ride?

I wanted to get a bigger rim to fill the huge wheel well but I also didn't want to take away from the classy looks of the King Ranch with shiny, obnoxious wheels. The factory 20" wheels are nice looking and the tires compliment the truck.

Whatch think?

Personally, I like the new 20" wheels, they look very sharp. I agree with you, they're not too "bling", and compliment the new body style. Not that I don't like my current wheels, but I'm thinking when I get some use out of this set of tires, I'll upgrade to some Toyo's and get the newer '06 wheels at the same time.

I added 20" with A/T cooper tires and the truck looks nice.

20" tires

Suprise! Unless you are changing tires on those 20" wheels from the factory Pirelli's, you actually just went to a smaller overall tire diameter by about one half of an inch. The ride is reported to be a bit harsher, but cornering and handling is improved. Surely by the lower sidewall of the 20" tire. I measured the 18's vs. the 20's on a truck at a local dealership, and the height difference was not noticeable. The narrower sidewall on a 20" makes the wheel/tire combination LOOK larger, but measure to the wheellip, and you'll se almost no difference. Oh, and get flexible... touch your toes regularly. When you have to replace those 20" rubbers, you will be assuming unmentionable positions.
