Does anyone have any info on the production schedule for the new longer bed
in th 06. Also will this addition raise the pricing. Thanks

 

There had been some chatter about the longer bed but, I don't think we've ever seen pricing etc... as I recall, it was mentioned that it'd be an option... being that it's an option, I'd plan on it adding some bucks to the MSRP.

 

My local dealer says late in the model year, probably during 2nd run...(Job 2?) No cost estimates yet, but as RP says, it will probably be a fairly spendy option.

 

That extra foot sure would come in handy at times. But I look at my neighbors brand new F-250 (never to be outdone) and I'm not so sure I could get my garage door shut.

I'm also not too sure I'd want the extra weight without an even bigger engine. Payload capacity is only ~1500 lbs as it is...
