Looks like Jeep is trying to copy the King Ranch. Saddle Leather seats are now an option on the 06 Commander.

I can't tell if they are like the castano leather or just regular leather dyed to look like it.

 

Clicking on the thumbnails it looks like the same color but the texture isn't the same at all...looks to be a much thinner leather.

Saw the ad on TV for the first time last night and couldn't recognise it at first until I saw the front.

Seems to be well specified but can't say it's exactly pretty !

On the otherhand it's not as ugly as that mobile house brick otherwise known as a Hummer.

I concur totally. It's horrible.

 

i hate to say it but i think some thught went into the layout of the interior and the options. a factory installed gps, places to put things, fully electric adjustable seats (non manual backrest), as well as other little things they added.

 

I like the Commanders. It's like a Hummer (which I hate) and a Land Rover (which I love) smashed together with the Jeep name slapped on it. And I guess Hate + Love = Like.... or something. The front is nice but the back is a little too square.

I've always been a fan of Jeeps anyway, 'specially Grand Cherokees.

 

Kinda looks like the mutant Jeep Wrangler "unlimited" with a hard top. Although I am sure it's now easier to get in and out of the backseat, which previous generation Cherokee's made into an acrobatic feat. I bet there some ex-G500 design engineers on the team.
