Hey Brad..guess what I drove yesterday !

I just had a great 2 days.

(Made up for the threat of our place in South Texas being wiped out by Emily....I think it's alright but haven't been able to contact anyone yet)

Unfortunately it's nothing to do with Ford or trucks but thought you might like the link to the site anyway.

Yesterday I went to the Bentley dealer near where we live and drove the new Continental Flying Spur.
The fastest 4 seater in the world.
A few days ago a film crew in Italy drove one 4 up and reached 208 mph !

I drove it fast...but not that fast.

Today I was invited to Crewe to see them being made....I hate the word 'Awesome'...it's so overused, but to see all the wood and leather etc is amazing. The car really is AWESOME. The power that size of car gets to the ground has to be felt to be believed.

It takes one lady one whole week just to do the cross stitching on the edge of the seats !!!
(It's a $5000.00 dollar option !)

If ever I really wanted a car and was prepared to sell my soul to get it...this is it !

Colour....Silverlake, with Saddle Interior.....It's actually quite close to the colour of KR leather !!

I think you may trawl the site and find it !

One word.... WoW...

I bet it was 'awesome' and I'm very jealous. Did you place your order?

have you seen the longest yard yet? In the opening scene adam sandler trashes a 2 door version. I bet after actually driving one you would cry just watching.

That is one awesome car!!!!

No pictures from the factory....not allowed as is usual in most of these facilities.
Also because they are preparing a couple of new models, one of which is the Continental GT drophead.
I dare say I will go back to the dealer sometime though and get some in due course.

And No, Brad, I didn't place an order.
At nearly $200.000 though, all contributions gratefully received !

Those are some sweet cars for sure but at 200.000 (2 hundred) I would buy a few of them

You forgot the (,) 200,000.00

How in the world did you score a drive in one of those in the first place

I'm used to writing those sort of figures in UK pounds where we don't always add the ,00 at the end !

I 'scored' a ride in one of those because for my sins I do own a Bentley, albeit one that is getting on a bit now.

Also from part of that dealer network I did buy an Aston Martin a couple of years ago, so they know I'm not just messing !

Unfortunately that was sold to partly finance the build of our new house in South Texas which I'm glad to say is still there after the hurricane, apart from a few bent trees and lifted shingles.

When we are too old and feeble to travel the Atlantic anymore (Not long now !), then the place will be sold and then the money will buy.....well...whatever!

In fact the dealer has a couple of other makes at the moment....
One is this.....you need to see the color in the flesh to appreciate it....amazing !

While I didn't get to drive it, not too terribly long ago I spotted an SLR McLaren in Louisville.

Every single person in the intersection stopped and watched it turn... with mouths open wondering what in the world it was. I didn't know either other than seeing the Mercedes emblem... had to go back and look it up. $467K for that piece...

Where do I send my contributions Lenny?
