After reading threads for a while yesterday I bought some sattle soap and mink oil. My ? is what is the best way to go about cleaning my seats with a clean warm towel and sattle soap then a clean towel to apply the mink oil?

As for the Mink Oil...it's certainly going to darken the leather quite a bit and, over time, I'd be slightly concerned about stitching and the breakdown of the animal proteins/fats that are used to make the oil going rancid but, I'd say that's a minimal concern versus the darkening.

Hmm, mink oil... I certainly wouldn't go near my seats with that stuff.
