Problem conditioning leather on KR Expy

Well, not really...

There's just TWICE as much to do as on the truck !!
I just hadn't thought about it until I came to do it this morning.
With 3000 miles on the Expy and 2 months old, and about to be stored until the fall, I thought I would treat the seats. Then of course the realisation there is the back of the 2nd row to treat as well as the whole 3rd row !!
Actually using my favorite KR conditioner it only took just less than an hour.
Really easy to wipe on with a clean shop towel, then after a few minutes buff up with a clean towel.
Not hard work at all...in fact rather a pleasure to see the seats come alive.

Still love the vehicle....excellent performance which comes into it's own when you kick down at about 50.....in fact my only complaint which I related on the expy forum is the dial layout....I think the speedo is really difficult to read quickly.
Apart from that I can see me keeping this one for quite a while !

You've probably put your Ford salesman in tears..... he was depending on you to buy at least a couple new vehicles this year so he can upgrade his boat....

Hope all is well & you enjoyed your time stateside......

Glad she's working out for you Lenny! They're certainly beautiful!

Enjoy your time on this side of the pond! Logging any hours behind the yoke?

No my licence is out of date.....
It's a real temptation to start again though as there's a huge little used airfirld a couple of miles behind our house.
Trouble is...where do you fly to from here ?
Everywhere north is hundreds of miles 'til you get anywhere and anywhere south is ...well....across the border.... and you can imagine those complications !

Hi Mike.....How's things going on the health front?

We are just here for another couple of weeks...I'm sure going to miss these blue skies and 90 + temperatures !

John.. thanks for asking - more or less back to normal but still taking blood thinner pills (Plavix) as well as a few others.... stents holding up fine and should be good for the next 30 years/100,000 miles... Feeling well and after all these years, learning to fly-fish... trout season starts Sat... should be fun!!

Glad to hear you're doing better Mike. Let us know how the fly fishing thing goes... I've been interested in doing that ever since driving over to Yellowstone out of Montana and seeing OODLES UPON OODLES of guys standing down in the streams. It looks like an awesome time...

Take care...

RP - thanks for the well wishes.... I only wish I was young like you when I started fly-fishing!! You REALLY need to look into it and join a class & learn.... Look into your local Trout Unlimited chapter.... surprisingly, the chapter here in Eastern NJ is one of the largest in the country with over 800 members... the 10 week course I'm taking right now is taught by senior officers of the chapter and cost only $75.... although I bought my own rod/reel/etc, they also supply everything for those who haven't. Some of the instructors work for Orvis & other local fly shops and have fished around the world....you couldn't ask for more qualified teachers. (Best part is that we go to the state hatchery at the end of the course and fish in the 6 acre educational pond there - place is loaded with very large trout)

Anyways.... you really need to put all that Meguiar's stuff away, put on a few coats of Zaino (which will last you through the fall ) and you'll have plenty of time to practice fly-fishing.... I bet there are some gorgeous places to fish in Kentucky and with the traveling out West you do to remote places, just pack in a 4 piece rod/reel outfit, get a license and catch your dinner!!

(OK.. so the "quit Meguiar's" part may be too much, but definitely look into the fly-fishing!! )

LOL! I'm not even sure that my life has time for Meguiar's right now; much less fly fishing.

I'm cranking up with a VERY HIGH PROFILE job in Southeast Missouri dealing with lead contamination. We're working for several well-known companies who have potential liability for the contamination and, right now as the PM, I'm getting SWAMPED with paper, meeting with EPA and other regulators, and organization/logistics/details. In fact, I've been in Missouri for the past three weeks (home on the weekends; I've windshielded nearly 3K miles in 2 weeks).

None the less, I need to find some time. The Missouri project, although not right now, will allow some 'away time' so that I'm not sitting in our job site trailer twiddling my thumbs. I have full intentions on breaking away with my rod and reel and running down to one of the SEVERAL lakes in this immediate area (in and near Mark Twain National Forest). Further, one of the guys that is a local who is helping me out with some logistics is a member of the internationally acclaimed Salem, Missouri Country Club (a 9-hole course with all the luxuries of Augusta but, a homey feel like Salem, Missouri) has offered up a couple of complimentary rounds.

I might be here on business but, I can assure you, I'll find some 'away' time while I'm here too...

My parents live right next to the Mark Twain Forest in Theodosia, MO, right on Bull Shoal's Lake. Very nice place for boating and fishing, although fly fishing doesn't happen very often in the lake, seeing as it's a dammed up lake.

That's almost in Arkansas! In fact, by boat on Bull Shoals Lake, you can end up in Arkansas!
