finally ordered it!

Well, after much research, I finally ordered a new truck today - 05 F150 King Ranch 4x4 - yahoo!

I've learned a ton from this site (both the King Ranch board and the 04 - 05 F150 board), and I'd like to pass a long a word of thanks to all that post regularly - the information here is fantastic and ultimately I felt I was well informed in my decision to go with the F150.

So, I now have 6 - 8 weeks to wait for delivery on the truck - dark copper, all options except DVD, sun roof, and bed extender. I was originally going to go with the sun roof, but I think the storage for pits and pieces provided by the overhead rail set up will be of practical use for me, given that the F150 is a bit shy on storage compartments.

It's gonna be a long 8 weeks, but I'm feeling good!!!

Dave.

Jack,

Congrats on the new truck. I ordered mine just after February 1st and it should be in sometime this week. I am excited to pick it up. I decided against the DVD and sunroof too.

Congrats again,
Tom

Passing on another Congrats on your new truck. I just got back from a weekend trip to Lake Havasu, AZ and could not believe the number of new King Ranch trucks I saw on the road. A couple of F150's but more 350's than ever - all pulling large boats or toyhaulers.

Sure are some fine looking trucks!!!

Please post a few pics of your new KR when you get it.

Many thanks for the kind words, and a congrats back to you Tom on your new truck - hopefully you'll see it this week!

I have only seen one F150 and one F350 King Ranch on the road so far - not too many around here.

I'll be sure to post some pics when it arrives. I'm going to try and forget about it for now as 8 weeks will crawl by if I don't.

Thanks again and look forward to posting more often soon!!

Update: My KR was built today! 14 - 21 days wait for delivery now. All told should be 6 weeks from order date, worst case.

C'mon, I need existing KR owners to pump up my excitement level (as if I'm not exceited enough already!).

I can almost smell that leather - instead I just sniff the bottle of KR conditioner my wife bought me the other day.....

HAHA!

We'd rather not drive you insane... but, trust me, once you have it beneath your rear-end, you're going to love it...
