In my years of trolling oodles of message boards, I've never run across the acronym 'dh'. Just thought I'd ask.

Oh yes, I think we're all ARKROs

Not to hijack the thread, but I went by Restoration Hardware on my way home yesterday and picked up a large container of the Leather CPR ($18.95 plus tax).

All I can say is WOW! My truck is only 4 months old and has about 3200 miles on it, but even after just one application of this stuff, you can already see a difference.

The leather has a better sheen to it and feels much more supple. You can tell that it has more moisture (oil) in it now. I'll definitely be keeping a coat of this stuff on the leather from now on.

So how much better is this stuff compared to the King Ranch supplied leather conditioner at the krsaddleshop.com store?

Leather CPR is a thick cream that is applied with a (supplied) sponge; a cleaning/conditioning cream that is applied directly on all of the leather and (gently) rubbed in. It is 100% absorbed and leaves the leather looking and feeling better than anything I have ever tried.

IMO - a cream is better absorbed by the leather than an oil due to the viscosity factor; oils can be absorbed unequally where the cream type can be spread more evenly.

Leather CPR is very easy to use and is failsafe. It can be applied generously and even if it gets on the plastic surrounding the seat base it can be wiped off easily (even though I don't always get to some of it and there is no side effect).

And a little goes a long way; a large container can last for quite some time. And the leather of the King Ranch seats is a main reason you purchased this truck - so use what I feel (and others are finding) is one of the best readily available products out there.

Rock Pick and cjw-

I've been out of town, but dh is mostly dear husband, and ARKRO is perfect. While driving around on a million errands far from home, "dh" called for the zillionith time to suggest yet another errand to run while I was over in the big city. I went to grab the cell, and in the process, I SPILLED A PIECE OF MCDONALD'S HASH BROWN ON MY SEAT. (First time I ate in the stupid KR without a cloth over my lap - yes, I do that. I have NEVER done that in any other truck). I immediately the truck over to the side of the road, leapt out and thwacked that puppy off my leather... Okay, you understand, right, I know you do, because you'all are ARKRO too. Love this acronym.

Its not even noticeable now; however, when the eagle first landed, it left a dark stain on the leather. However, remembering my vow not to freak, I calmed down. Sort of, lol...

The prior owner did not take as good of care of the seats - they were dried out and a bit soiled when I picked up the truck in Houston (driving it back to San Diego). My wife actually found the Leather CPR at Restoration Hardware and purchase a jar for me. Now all my leather gets cleaned / conditioned monthly.

For Lenny -
Those have got to be the softest supple looking seats I have ever seen in a king Ranch, and yours is a 01. for a truck that is 4 years old that is some awsome interior. It's people like you that really complement the King Ranch line.
