color or no to color, that is the question

I know there is a bedliner forum, but I was wondering specifically what other KR owners have done. I am looking to get a spray in, but not sure if I should go with the black (roughly $400) or go with a custom color for another $200. I know it's a matter of preference, but I am not sure AZ Beige will stay AZ Beige for long. What have y'all done?

SG...

My KR is Black over Arizona Beige. I opted for black (Line-x). Since then, I've put on a Pace-Edwards rolltop and so the bed color is no longer very important.

Are you happy with your PE? My wife wants one of the motorized ones.... lot of $'s.

If the cover is closed, and you have the windows down, does it flap at all?

Very happy. There is no flap. The top is padded vinyl over aluminum. I did not see the need for the motorized version. Mine cost $735 (for the supercrew version) on eBay.

The installation instructions left something to be desired, so I put some additional info in my gallery

You may check out Skagel's gallery. She opted for the AZ Beige liner on her Charcoal Blue KR. I saw it in person and I thought it looked KILLER...

I have a black truck and it had a Ford black drop-in when I bought it. I'll probably go with a BedRug one of these days but, not yet.

I also have a black Line-X in my 2002 KR. Color wasn't a big decision since I also put on an A.R.E. LSII hard tonneau. If the bed is covered, I think it would be hard to justify the extra money for a color spray-in but as you said, it's a matter of personal preference.

Haven't seen her... or him... or him (at least on here - we talk via IM often though).

Went with the black Line-X liner in mine as well. But my truck is black anyway, so I certainly couldn't see spending the extra $$. However, if the money isn't a problem, then get what you want.

My Decision

Well, I decided to go with a superliner, and a metallic tan color which from photos, should compliment the existing colors. My big debate was having them put the King Ranch logo on the back wall of the bed (under rear window). I decided to nix the graphics, and if I change my mind, they said it could easily be added later.

Dropping her off on Sunday night, will have her back Tuesday (masked and sprayed on Monday).

btw, finally got my SKYFI installed using the ACC, very sweet.
Check out my gallery for pics.

Bedliner

So, SG how did the Superliner turn out? I am in the same boat trying to make up my mind on liners. I like the look of the bedrug but don't think it will go well with the dk copper and AZ Beige.

Interesting that you say that.... I tried many moons ago to get the folks that make the BEDRUG to produce a beige colored one... their defense on not doing it was that they didn't feel that there was a market (I suppose they may be right though)... bummer though.

Thanks RP!

Thats kinda what I figured about Bedrug. They picked one color that would go with most color schemes. I just cant see a gray bedrug in the bed of my truck. I guess my only option is a hard spray in with color or get a Ford AZ Beige drop in (If they still make one???).

I have dogs which like to go places but the last place they will want to ride is in the back of the truck on a hot black spray in bedliner. It gets really hot down here!
