I can't help wondering why they didn't put a leather wrapped shifter in.

IMHO it would be a nice touch, finishing off the interior with alot of class. I am looking on the web, but haven't seen anything yet.

I thought the same thing about the shifter. The chrome looks good and I hope it will hold up for a long time.

The pics in your gallery look great. That is one very nice truck! It has made me more anxious for my KR to be delivered.

I hope the chrome lasts a long time too. I find my right hand on it quite a bit, tapping away to the radio (and I mean radio 'cause the CD players is useless). I would have to think that some time in the future, there will be an aftermarket replacement.

I know that the Mark LT (Lincoln version) is coming standard with a leather wrapped shifter.

Providing one could come up with some castano, I believe this could be an easy mod... it's certainly one that I've already thought about a little bit...

Nope.

I've been watching the discussions for changing out the shifter from a Lariat shifter to a LT shifter but, I'm not sure about replacing the leather on the shifter with something 'castano based'... It sure would look nice.
