Greetings, KR folks... I own a dated 04 Screw Lariat, but am not enamoured with the gold honeycomb grill. The Ford site shows what appears to be chromed bar grills on the KR, but pics I've seen here dont appear to be. The local Ford dealer here says the grilles are available but must be painted. Q' - are the grilles chromed or not? Are they backed w/ the black honeycomb as I think I've seen? A pic would be nice... Since that is as close to a KR I can have for a while, hehe... Nice truck, folks - worth the wait I'm sure! Thx

 

This is as good as I can do for now... This is a 05'.



The only chrome exists around the surround of the grille... none on the grill itself. No bars.

The late model KR (I had an 01 as well), was similar...



Again though, no chrome.

{egg on face}... Thanks, RP - after I posted I went to your photo album for the first time and saw the pic's... Still looks like the Ford site has chrome bars... What color are the bars and honeycomb? Gray, as they appear? Are they all the same color on all color and trim options?

 

No problem....


The cross features of the grille are more of a beige color; not grey. The light on that picture doesn't really do it justice but, that's all I have at the moment in the way of front-end pictures.

To my knowledge, that front end is the standard KR front end.
