Hello everyone. Just ordered a 150 KR and I have a question regarding leather conditioner. I had a 2003 350KR 6.0 that Ford bought back and I can't remember if conditioner came with the truck or with the cooler gift that arrived some time later. When I returned the F350 I kept the cooler but left the conditioner with the truck. I want to stay ahead of the leather conditioning on this one. What is the deal with the 2005 150's?

Welcome waterguy,

Congrats on the new truck order, what color did you order and what options?

On the leather care, it will be exactly the same as any other KR ever built so you can use the KR brand conditioner or any of the other fine products that are better are just as effective. I'm sure Rock Pick will chime in later and give you his $2 worth.

Later,

~DM~

Thanks for the reply Daveman. Did your 2005 come with KR conditioner at delivery? I can't recall if my 2003 did or if I had to wait for the gift. My 150 is Dark Copper my 2003 was Chestnut. Ordered this one loaded with sunroof so no dvd. No skid plates or bed extender as I am having a colour matched bedliner (tan)sprayed in and a canopy installed at delivery. Looking at installing the Kenwood 7015 with Nav and back up camera as well. I'm watching those threads as they develop.

Welcome aboard Waterguy. We're glad to have you here.

As for conditioner, none of the KR's actually come with conditioner however; many of us that bought a 2001 (and some early 2002s) got a complimentary gift from Ford via FedEx Ground about a month after our purchase. The gift contained a bottle of KR Saddle Shop conditioner and also either a writing portfolio or day planner.

So far, none of us have received such a gift with our 05's (at least to my knowledge).

Conditioners are like soft drinks; everyone has a favorite flavor. Do some searching within this forum and you'll come across everything from Fiebings 4-Way to Leather Master to Lexol to KR Saddle Shop to Leather CPR to Meguiar's to...........

It's all a matter of trying a few out and figuring out what you think works best for you. We all have our favorites and have discussed them at GREAT length here at f150online.com

Again, welcome and let us know if we can help out with anything while you're here.

Thanks Rockpick. I that answers my question. About two months after I got my F350 I got a tan canvas cooler with castano leather KR emblems on it delivered to me. I guess the conditioner was in it. I'll spend some quality time reading about leather care.
