Just bought my new King Ranch

Hey im new to this site and im also new to this brand, i have owned 2 chevy Z28's and i finally just couldnt resist to move on to a truck and the fords just appealed to me, my dad has always owned 150's and 250's i just bought a used 2003 black King Ranch and i love this truck, it is just awsome.

My main question is what process and what product can i use to keep the Leather in this truck Clean and looking brand new cause ive quickly found out that this leather is no BS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Congrats on your King Ranch purchase (and the black one to boot !!!).

Recommend doing a search of this forum on Leather. You will see that the topic has been covered many, many times.

There are lots of good products out there. Think of your truck's interior as fine furniture grade leather and proceed.

I for one have picked Leather CPR as mine choice for keeping the seats in tip top shape.

I just picked up my new KR yesterday. The seats had a tag attched to them that reccomended a King Ranch Premium Leather Conditoner. Here is the site:

www.krsaddleshop.com

The site states that it will not be available until December 14. Price is $9.00

First thing I am going to do is call Troyer to get a tuner, and then I am off to Pep Boys to change the headlight /fog light bulbs.

This is an awesome site. Although I have not posted previously, the information I obtained from here while deciding on a truck was invaluable.

Thanks guys.

Took Delivery Friday the 12th

I used the Ford "build your own" site to set the mood, then the check dealer stock. I was surprised to find quite a few KR' already in stock within a 100 mile radius of home. It took me a week to decide on color (the hardest decision if you have not yet seen one) then options. I knew I had to have a moon roof and power rear slider, and tow package. Everything else that came on mine was just neat stuff I will never use like home link, and reverse sensors etc... Anyway I am very happy with my 05 KR and hope you are as well.

As far as the leather treatment, just keep it up as you would an expensive saddle. Same leather, same wear characteristics, if in doubt, consult any tac shop.

I think you may be surprised how useful those reverse sensors might be.

I didn't have them on my first 04 Lariat and one day nearly backed into a car that was right up close behind me and out of sight of all the mirrors.

I made sure I had the sensors on my next truck.....one day they beeped at me and I really couldn't see anything behind me....except when I got out and looked there was a trash can that had blown up behind me !

Similar things have happened since proving that what I once thought was a gimmick was indeed a very useful accessory.

Anyway enjoy your truck !!

You’ll change your mine about RSS quick. It’s like remote control for a TV, once you got it you can’t imagine being without it.

While RSS wasn't a huge deciding factor when I walked into my 05, it was certainly something that I was interested in knowing more about.

I see a HUGE advantage for it as the tailgate is very high on the new body style and thus, judging distances back there could, potentially, get hairy when in tight quarters.

I still see no value in the power pedals. Just me though.

Just bought my new KR on Saturday

Howdy Folks. I just got a new 2005 KR Supercrew on Saturday. It is quite the change from old 97 F150 Lariat (Supercab). I have to say, now that we own 3 Ford trucks, this one is the best so far.

RSS

Yup!...Ya'll were right about the RSS. Kept me from reversing over a bicycle hidden by the tall tailgate.
