Maybe trading the 01 KR for a 05...

Went to dealership tonight and looked at a 05 KR. Didn't have much time, it was late, dark and drizzly.

It was a nice green color, 4 X 2. I'll have to go back this week and see it in the daylight and see what kind of deal they will give me with my 01 KR in trade.

Hmmmmmm....

I'm running into a dilemma on what to do with mine. I think I will end up keeping it, but it is a 2wd. I will be moving to upstate NY at the end of November, so I will probably have a need for a 4x4. Of course I considered getting a second, but that went over like a set of bricks with my wife.

I sure don't want to get rid of mine, as it is finally at the point where I really love it, and there's not much else to do to it, except for putting in a new alarm/remote starter.

Of course, I may just have to get the wife a King Ranch Expedition, and then maybe I can have my cake and eat it too.

Well I traded my 01 KR for the Green 05 KR today.

Really hated to get rid of the 2001 KR. It was such a good truck and all. With the hard cover, dual exhaust and all. But......the 2005 just looked too good.

They have done some nice changes too. Fog lamps can now go on with the switch in auto.

Full console and floor mounted shift lever. I'm still grabbing air everytime I start it, trying to shift a column shifter.

Full rear bench seat.

CD player is built into dash.

Music and a/c controls on the steering wheel, in addition to the cruise control.

Folding outside mirrors with puddle lamps.

A/C ducts on rear of console.

In dash computer.

F150 on windshield, behind mirror.

5.4 V-8 Three valves per hole.

Memory seat

Now since I've only driven it about 30 miles let me tell you what I notice missing.....

Pockets on back of front seats don't have flaps to close them.
No running board lamps.
Hub cap centers are VERY flat.
Rear seat headrests are "mini's".
No reading lamps over the rear doors.
No storage bins behind the rear seats.
Front seat bottoms are much flatter.
No voice recorded in sunvisor.
Rear bumper is painted, not chrome.
Outside rearview mirrors are BIG and not painted body color.

This time I opted for a sunroof, which kills the overhead storage.

I'll keep you posted as I get more miles.

But, it sure is pretty.

I look forward to it!!!

Quick question... do they make an EB Expy in the Aspen? I saw an EB today that seemed to be that dark green color but I wasn't sure as to the exact code...

Yeah, they are standard and they do fold back.

They are "A little on the large size". Kind of like Dumbo's ears. They also aren't painted the car color.

They "are" nice and big though. And I guess the bugs won't hurt the black color either.
