I could contine with the trying to get one up.

So what I wanted to know is will the light from door hit the running boards. Does someone know, has anyone seen it yet or are we just going by what we think.

I understand where he was going with it and personally it stinks. I would like to see a couple pics of your light setup mike.

Thanks for taking the pics

I was disappointed when I saw that there wasn't lights like the F250 KR.

If someone has the '05 could you take a couple pics door closed and door open.

Thanks

I drove by the dealer tonight and looked at the new King Ranch. It was a very good looking truck. I currently have a 2002 Lariat and was thinking very seriously about trading up for a KR. The light is definitely underneath the mirror housing. It looked to be about the size of an interior dome light (about 1 & 1/2 inches in diameter or so).

Based on the picture above, I would think that it would allow you a decent amount of light during entrance and exit of the vehicle. I would guess that about 99% of the time I park my truck in a fairly lit area anyway.

It won't be long and we will have a definite answer to the question - do the lights provide adequate light during exit/entrance of the KR?

If someone decides not to buy a KR because of a lack of running board lamps then if it did have them it would just be something else that would'nt satisfy. I've got an '03 EB Expedition and it has no running board lights and it's just fine with the puddle lamps that are built into the mirrors. I honestly don't think that it's going to make much difference whether a truck has running board lamps or not, we don't live in total darkness like the Omega Man from years ago .

Later,

If I don't buy a new KR, it won't be because of lack of lights, but because of lack of funds.

I installed these painted step boards on my lariat with built in lights.

If you want lights on the boards you may want a set of these.
