Hi

Sorry for the non communication !

We came back to the States 3 weeks ago to take delivery of our new house.
We built it this year by e mail from the UK.....it was with hearts in mouths that we saw it for the first time !!
It seems to be working out though and apart from a few minor things to be put right we are more than happy.
However we moved in with NOTHING.
We had to buy every stick of furniture (I made sure I got a big screen TV !), and get all the utilities arranged.
It's bad enough in your own country but try doing it in a foreign land where the simplest things are different. (You even connect your TV equipment with different leads than we use !)
Then of course when you try to get a phone line and electrickery installed and tell them you don't have a social security number...then the fun begins...explains why I didn't have access to the computer for so long.
Boy...you people really love paperwork....can't believe the reams of stuff to sign and work your way through.
Why does a new house have to have temporary power which is then replaced with permanent power. Can't it just start as permanent from the beginning !

Anyway all is up and running now, and the other day I had time to go and collect my 72 Mustang.
It is superb.I think I told you that the owner of the dealership where I get my trucks collects Mustangs and he sold it to me.
Over the summer he fitted a new white soft top and resprayed the whole car.
It's yellow and is really one of the most flawless paint jobs I've ever seen.
The best thing though is the sound it makes !!!
The worst thing...watching the fuel gauge needle go down as I rev it up at lights !!!

All this has a downside....the money I've spent in the last few weeks makes an 05 KR very unlikely !!

Cheers for asking after my well being !

John

Lenny,

Glad to hear all is well. Working through all the ins and outs of a new house from scratch will test your patience for sure. We started out with a bare piece of land back in '99 and are still modifying our plans on what kind of house we will eventually build.

Ah come on man, I know you've got a spare 35K bill tucked away inside your wallet somewhere to buy a new '05 KR, don't you?

Later,

~DM~

Oh come now Dave. You know the KR is ordered. He's just tight lipped about it.

Glad to hear that you're doing well Lenny. I was a tad worried about you.
