Refresh my memory

A while back, we were talking about cleaning the steering wheel using a baby soap product. I've searched the past threads and can't seem to locate it. Can someone refresh my memory? What was the name of that baby soap?

DOVE was the brand that was originally mentioned but, as you're going to find, it's not available in the USA (only in CA).

I believe some had good luck with the Johnson & Johnson product though...

I used the Lexol cleaner on the stearing wheel. The first time I used it, it din't come to clean but then I read the directions:-) I put the cleaner on with my hands then put a little water on my hands then put that on the wheel making a foamy lather. I did this over a period of about a week allowing the wheel to dry. Now, the wheel looks like new. Time for the Lexol conditioner--it did real good on the seats.

Thanks for the response. My wheel is not real dirty but it is starting to turn a little dark across the top. I thought I should clean it before it gets too bad and keep it under control.

Thanks again.

Nice surprise..

I am taking pictures of my seats and steering wheel of my truck, and will post them today.

I came home yesterday from business down south to find my wife had cleaned/conditioned my seats and wheel. Mine is an '01, so the leather has seen a good amount of sun and wear.

I have used the KR bottle that came with the truck, purchased the $18.95 Leather CPR and Lexol. My wife has been working with horses and saddles since she was 9 yrs old, and after working with those products she was not very impressed. To my surprise, my wife used something totally different. She owned a tack store for over 8 years (she sold it 4 years ago, when my son was born) and the product she used to clean and bring back the seats/wheel to almost showroom, was produced in Germany by one of the world's most expensive saddle manufacturers.

I will post a pic of the seats/wheel and product.

Good stuff
