had my 30k service done and when i picked it up there was a new scrape in the rear fender well, through the paint. I got the night manager to take photos of it and am waiting for the CSR to call tomorrow. This seems like it's a BIG no no for a service tech to do and I'm not sure how much to ask for other than repair. any ideas?

Anytime you take your vehicle to the shop, this could occur. The problem is the large number of service techs that don't give a darn about other people's property. You can have them repair the problem for free which will adds no peace of mind as to the original condition. You are also entitled to get independent estimates and hold their insurance company liable to pay you the money. You can choose to live with the scratch and keep the money or have it fixed at your choice of repair shops.
