Need KR Rim

Hello all, Had a tire blow out on the freeway last night. Side wall completley came apart and needless to say it damaged my rim from the pavement. Anyone have any idea where I may be able to find a rim? I am sure I should be able to get one from the stealership but am afraid to ask how much. Any suggestions would be greatley appreciated, thanks in advance.

Most larger cities, towns have a company that specializes in wheels.

Used, etc. Here in Orlando it is a hub cap place. They also repair aluminum wheels. I've had several repaired and they look NEW for a fraction of the cost.

I'm not sure how bad your rim is but, like gear mentioned, there are repair companies out there that apparently do incredible work. I've never viewed any of their work first hand but, I've heard numerous folks talk about how impressed they were.

It's a thought.

Also, if you're dead set on a new wheel, you're very limited on choices. You can go to the stealership and pay out the rump, maybe get lucky and catch one on ebay, or, even less likely, find one in a junk yard somewhere.

Best of luck to you...

Hey guys thanks for your replies, I called the stealership today and its $234.00 for a new rim (ouch) but I cant stand the look of the spare tire and they can have it for me overnitght. So I guess I will have to go that route. Since I live in a small town and nobody repairs them here I am kinda stuck. I dont post here much (I lurk everyday) but Im still worried Lenticular is going to read this and want to correct my spelling and grammer. Thanks again guys.

OOps...
I wish you hadn't said that !
Makes me feel bad !
I had to explain to someone on another forum I usually only do that when someone makes a mistake that ends up being funny.
(The other day someone was complaining about someone trying to sell something here, so they told them they shouldn't pedal their goods.....I asked if it was a bicycle they were selling, since in that context the word should have been peddle !)

I had a long running thing going with one of our members, Skagel, and she did it on purpose to wind me up.

The only other time I would comment is for those people who obviously never even read through (Thru) their posts before hitting the submit button, and the result is like that written by an 8 year old.

Think I'll lie low for a bit !!
