New Sunshades

I just got a set of new sun shades for my KR. The sun was really getting to my front seats. I was not smart enough to tint my front side windows. Even with lots of conditioning the seats are hurting.

The sun shades I bought off ebay. They fit into each front side window and 2 pieces for the windshield. They are an exact fit for the truck. They seem to be made by an aircraft parts company. They appear to be well made, time will tell. Even if you have tinted windows these are a great fit for the windshield.

Do you have a link to what you're talking about? I'd like to check them out.

I also saw this shade on eBay about a week ago and just tried to do a search for it under closed items, but could not come up with it. It looks really nice, even comes in about 8 to 10 trim colors.
I think it was going for about $35 but I didn't see a link to a main website or company on the listing.
Hmmm.... I guess this was a useless posting, huh? lol

That's the general racket that you make most all of the time isn't it? HAHAHA!

Say Lenny, how's that green sport coat doing these days?

Better than you imagine actually old chap.

I have the Masters Badge attached with velcro, so I can wear the jacket out to normal functions as well as the obvious sporting occasions.

I tried to paste the link. Don't think it will work.
They are available on ebay now. search for king ranch, should be on the second page.
I went cheap and got the standard trim.

I've had those custom shades for 2 or 3 years and the fit great. I think that they are from the same outfit. $35 is cheap compared to leather replacement.

Here's the link to the company website page for the 01-03 KR and Lariat sunshades:

The only option is the border color, which adds $10 to the $35 cost for the set if you don't want the default dark green.

It took me 6 months of ownership before I got my front side winders tinted. I could slap myself for waiting so long. They've pretty much put a stop to the sun fading as I got pretty dark tint (non-legal but arguably very close...shhhhh). I use the twisting "magic" shades that seem to block out most of the sun.

Just purchased a complete set for my 2001 KR (purchased last week in Houston and drove it back to San Diego).

Now for the seats !!! Lots of rubbing ahead for this old guy.
