2004 Special Editions starting.

It would seem that the special editions of the new 2004 F150 are starting to appear.

(Or the BOUTIQUE editions as you so quaintly call them....
How a TRUCK can be called a boutique item beats me....since a boutique is usually a small specialist clothing store....)

See .....

i'll stick with this;

one of my friends has an f-350, screw, long bed, jacked up...he calls my king ranch the small truck....and since i have it packed with clothes (when i get out there) that i'd be willing to sell to buy more toys for the truck (or for the musicbaby) i guess it could be called a boutique truck

Ford calls them botique... not us Lenny... Heck man, if you'd just install a few clothing racks and some snooty sales people, you too could open a botique out of your truck...

BTW, I have all winter apparel 50% off out of Rockpick's House of Style... Why pay full retail on winter clothing when you can have the best at an affordable price?

Sorry Brad.....

I pretty much knew you'd come back with that response.

Trouble is I've seen you use the word quite a bit and began to think that it was just one of those American things.

You know like calling HERBS "ERBS" !
And Par -me-zan (Phonetic) as Par - me - szhaaaan (Phonetic).

Then I saw that the thread was started with what I call the correct spelling, and thought MMmmm....now there's an opportunity to get a dig at RP !!!

Come back Skagel......I need someone to get at !!!

Anyway, the poor ol' truck went into store today as we are heading back to Blighty tomorrow.
Be even colder than Houston, but at least we are not leaving when it is beautifully warm so we will have something to acclimatise us.

Anyway I suppose the next time we come back we will be received like criminals.

Fingerprints and photographs.....what a wonderful way to be welcomed back to a country we have been visiting for 25 years and where we have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Thanks America !

I'm not going to get into an arguement about this

BUT....

You need to get things into perspective.

This "War on terror"......

First you can't have a war on a noun.......

It's a war on TERRORISM.

You never won the war against drugs.....

Neither will the war against Terrorism ever be won.

None of us will ever win it...it will always be there....it is something that we will all have to live with and be vigilant about.

How the hell do you think we coped with the IRA for years ?

NOT by having Dan Blather ram it down our throats every night.

How do you think we coped with the blitz and flying bombs every night during the second WW ?
We had lives to get on with as well.

IT IS JUST THERE AND WE HAVE TO CONSTANTLY GUARD AGAINST IT BUT IT CAN'T DOMINATE OUR LIVES.

You are 1000 times more likely to be killed in a road accident than be killed by a terrorist act.

And for those that are not capable of reading and understanding plain English I REPEAT I am not saying that we shouldn't guard and worry about terrorism, but it cannot rule our lives.

IT IS GETTING OUT OF PROPORTION !!!

End of rant.

After all this is a truck forum.

And Pkagel if after all these years you STILL can't detect a slightly tongue in cheek comment......you know ....IRONY.....

(ie "Thanks America), then there's not a lot of hope for you.

Do you really think I would have crossed the Atlantic 100 times to come to these shores if I felt I meant that 100% ?

I would just stop coming.

How many times did YOU cross the Atlantic when the IRA were up to their tricks ?

I seem to remember when bombs started going off in London American tourism virtually stopped !!!

REAL END OF RANT !!!

Don't give Homeland Security any more ideas !

Actually apart from the initial inconvenience it might be a lot easier.

After all in years to come future generations will be born with a cellphone permanently inserted in one lughole or another.

In a couple of thousand years it will be an inherent part of the ear structure and we will be able to communicate with anyone just by thought transmission.

You think I'm joking !!?

Wait and see !

Well....not wait exactly, but you know what I mean.
