Thanks to all for the kind words. The night time pics were taken by one of the firemen that responded to the scene. They were all amazed we were not seriously injured. They also could not believe how well the truck stood up to the impacts.

We just returned home today and did not have much access to a pc while gone.

We spend our vacation tooling around in a mini-van. No offense to anyone who has one but there was no comparison between the rides. We wanted to drive around with those fake glasses, with the fake nose and mustache.

Thanks to all once again. I will keep every posted. so far no decision on the truck.

Liny,

First and foremost, I'm very glad you all are okay. It looks like the safety that is synonomous with these trucks paid off.

Best of luck in dealing with all the hastles that go along with something like this. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do.

RP

Krashed KR

LINY--

You must have had one of these watching over you guys .
Tell more about the crash as my father is trying to convince me to sell my 02 KR. I guess that he saw something on TV last week that said our F150's weren't very crashworthy. Has anyone seen this same report?
I don't want to get rid of the IceKing as I have only nine payments left till he's 100% mine...

We were hit on the left rear corner and spun around into a tractor trailer on I95.

I believe in that test the used a supercab F150. It had no frame around the door due to the small rear door that opens. So it is not as rigid as our trucks.

With our accident even the rescue workers were amazed how well the truck held up.

If you need any more info let me know.

Thumbs up

Cool beans, LINY, makes me feel better already. I'll lift the crash pix and send 'em to my father. He will be a happy camper since I regularly tote his grandkids around in my KR.
