LINYScrew,

Hi there...

Thanks for the good holiday wishes everyone. I think it's important to give thanks for all the things that life offers and that we all too often take for granted.

I've recently learned how important having two good knees is to me. After my left knee surgery, recovery has been slow and agonizing and unable to walk normally without crutches is a real PIA. Once I make a full recovery, I'll be a lot more thankful to have two good knees than ever before.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! GOBBLE GOBBLE...

Later,

~DM~

I just read an article in the morning newspaper about two boys, ages 11 and 13, who were hit by a truck and killed late yesterday afternoon crossing a street not far from my house. Also, one of the guys in my office lost his wife to an accidential drowning earlier this week.

Many of us take our families for granted and don't realize how fast we can lose them. Enjoy your holiday but please remember how much we have to be thankful for.

Joe, congrats on your 'phins yesterday. I swore them off after my Indy Colts beat them down here but Fiedler's come and they look strong again. We'll beat the Pats for you on Sunday and you'll be one game out of the AFCE lead.

Mind you Esquire, I'm a Phish fan too... I'm not quite as gung-ho about them as Joe (he borders on OCD) but, I'm very much a fan. We SINCERELY NEED THE COLTS to beat them Sunday. I never dreamed I'd be pulling for an Indy squad but, in this case, I'll make an exception.

Fiedler has certainly sparked the offense and they looked very good against a flat Cowboys defense on Thursday. From here, it's somewhat uphill in the division though. All of the remaining games are 'must wins' as they still have the Jets, Pats, and Bills remaining in the last four games (the Eagles are the other). We need all of them and we need for the Pats to reach the summit of their hill and fall flat down the other side.

Hope everybody had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving, and those that are on the road make it home alright. Had a typical turkey day ate with the In-Laws and not only watched the Cowgirls get stomped(Texans Fan) but got to watch the family disagree on everything. It was a very normal Turkey day.

Sorry to have let you Dolfans down on Sunday. Its been 48 hours and the only that's eased my pain (slightly) is the Tennessee loss. That puts Indy right back in the lead. However, we must win in Tennessee this weekend. Talk about tough. We pasted Tennessee the second week of the season 33-7 and they've got to be wanting a payback. What's interesting is Indy and Tennessee hold the two longest streaks in the NFL with respect to no consecutive losses. Its been 24 months for Tennessee and 22 for Indy; one will have to give this weekend.

Oh, Rockpick, do me a favor. Your Dolphins need to beat the Patriots this weekend in Foxboro. I've got nothing but grief around the office this week from all the Dolfans about my Colts letting y'all down. Hell, if you can't score a TD from one yard out with four plays, you don't deserve to win. Tennessee did the same thing last night (although they were two yards out).

RP, also curious on how you became a Dolfan? Being from the Louisville area, I'd hope you'd be a semi-Colts fan given your two hours away from Indy. The Colts are going to begin marketing the Louisville area big time this offseason for season tickets, etc. There are a ton of Dolphin fans in Southern Indiana because of Bob Griese (from So. IN, went to Purdue, starred at Miami).

Frankly that could happen. Next year, the AFCS is going to be even better than it is now. With Jax and Houston both improving greatly, this is gonna be a brutal division. You'll have to win all of your home games and hope to win one of three on the road in the division to win it.

Well, they shocked the Dolphins the first game, played New England to overtime. This year if it wasn't for injuries the Texans would probably in the running for the playoffs. I don't know about Jacksonville, Quarterback will be good, the rest of the offense is OK, but the defense?. We were in Houston for the Jaquars and Texans game it was a pretty good game.
