Angry Heated Mirrors

Wonder if anyone with a 2003 SCREW has run into my annoyance. I bought my King Ranch a few months back and thought I got one fully loaded -- moon roof, power pedals, etc, etc. Lo and behold on these early Fall mornings, with the outside mirror loaded with condensation, I kicked on the rear window defroster thinking it was like my old Lincoln Continental which would activate the heated mirrors, but nothing.

Stopped at the Ford dealership and thyeysaid I don't have heated mirrors. The manual mentions it as an opttion so either I got snookered when I thought I got everytihng on the vehicle but the kitchen sink or the King Ranch does not come with that feature.

Does anyone in the King Ranch country have heated mirros?

As far as I know, they are not available. Had them on my '97 Expy and could sure use them on this truck.

You have rear window defrost? I didn't even think that was an option. No heated mirrors are available to my knowledge on the '03's.

I just bought my 2003 SC and, to the best of my knowledge, the only thing heated is my seats.

First I've EVER heard of heated side mirrors... you say your manual mentions it as an option?

I have, however, heard of the rear glass defrost.

I traded in a fully-loaded Saab 9-3 for my KR truck. Not disappointed in anything except lack of heated side mirrors and trip computer, speed alarm, etc. Really cheap of Ford to leave the heater for mirrors off. I hear otyhers have had fogging problems with the rear window of the supercrew, but I haven't. Maybe when you get more bodies in the truck, it becomes an issue.
