'04 ordering

bug,
Check with Lenny, he knows how to get an '04 KR, make it yourself. No really, they aren't available yet and no one knows exactly when they are to be released and actually no one knows 100% for sure if there will be one at all. Speculation has it that we will see one late this year but don't hold your breath as you might run out of air. Boutique versions are usually late as it takes more time to work out the bugs and priority design wise is to get the high volume standard versions on the street first.

Thanks Dave and RP. I guess I should have been a bit more specific as to what I am looking for. I am interested in the F-250 KR not the F-150. Unless it's a miss-print, I did find a '04 F-250 at Metro Truck Sales in Dallas so it seems the F-250 version is available.... Thanks again for your help.

Thank you all very much for the information. I'm dying to get my first KR and am torn between buying a 2003 new or waiting for a 2004 KR. I'd hate to wait and pass up some good deals if an '04 is not on the plate.
I've got mixed news. I had by EB Expedition in the body shop at my local ford dealer and was told by the service manager that there won't be a KR until at least two or three years, along with the HD. I wonder, however, since this dealer doesn't sell KR's, if that's accurate information. Everything on this forum seems to indicate that an '04 is likely.
I'm thinking about renting one of the new '04 Lariats for a weekend (or so) and seeing if I can really get the feel of it. There are things about both models of F-150 ('03 & '04) that I like and don't like. But its obvious in many respects that the '04 has made significant improvements over any truck in the industry.
Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and advice. (I've been a long time lurker, first time poster).

Esquire... first and foremost, welcome to www.f150online.com. We're glad to have you aboard and participating!
Secondly, I'd hesitate to say 'likely' on the 2004. With the types of problems that they're experiencing with the new 04, I'd be more prepared to see it roll off the lines in 2005... Just my opinion though...
Best of luck to you in your decision and let us know if we may be of any assistance to you during your buying process.

Huh !!??
You've been paying too much attention to the eejits on that other board !!!
(You don't think they read this do you !!!?)
Seriously, any problems seem to have been overstated and over hyped by a hyper critical audience that have been kept on tenterhooks so long that they probably expected perfection.
Were you following my 2009 F 150 thread !?
