Question hitch reciever

I was wondering if you all that have the tow package got a hitch bar with the truck. Ours only came with the hitch itself and I would have to buy the bar and ball to complete it. I know the ball wouldn't come with it because of the different sizes, but I thought the bar was pretty standard. Anyway, just wondering.

My 97 SCAB came with the tow package, but no hitch, I had to buy the hitch and the ball.
My 02 SCrew came the same way. I still had to buy the ball and hitch. I think that's common with any tow package. I believe you can buy it from Ford, but it's cheaper elsewhere. Be sure to buy a locking pin with it, or someone else will own it the first time you park it away from your driveway.

ok, that's what I figured. Fortuanately I haven't needed to tow anything. One of these days I'll pick one up. I have a semi rusty ball already on my Expi bumper just in case I need to rent a small trailer to haul something. The wiring harness probably wouldn't match up though :\ The King Ranch is all setup to pull, just no hitch bar. I haven't looked to see if I could get the ball on the bumper of it. That's where it should be.

Anyone have a good place to get a hitch bar at? I don't think I'd need a locking one as I wouldn't be using it but once in a blue moon.

Wally World or any type of autoparts store will have the hitch reciever. They're not real expensive... around $20-$35 I think.

BTW, mine didn't come with one either...

Cool, well, one of these days when I'm not shelling out cash trying to get my lawn back into shape for the homeowners I'll get one. Thx.
