New KR owner
King,
Wow, I guess I was hoping that the resale was better so I could get a good return but I'm glad you was able to pick yours up for a decent price. Thanks for the pricing, it helps me determine about what mine is worth.

Yes, a big welcome!! You will get many questions answered here, especially about the leather conditioner through RP. I think the brush-guard is a good idea. I had a head on once and the brush-guard made a difference big time. Are you going to school in Austin or are you residing there? Get some pics up, order a KR sticker as well.
Welcome aboard. Glad to see you were able to find a King Ranch in the right color. There are other colors available but they'are merely substitutes when you can't get the only true King Ranch color.
I've kicked around the idea of a grille guard for a long time and still haven't done anything about it but I do like the looks on the truck. I also did some limited research on the Ranchhand model. I too wanted to have it painted the Arizona Beige accent color but I hesitated because the Ranchhand has a honeycomb style grille of its own between the two uprights. It also has a horizontal center bar and a Ranchhand name plate. Check out their web site for a pic. When you mount their grille guard, the grille, center bar, and name plate will cover the grille on the truck and I wasn't sure how that would look so I decided against it. If you do get one, I'd be interested in some pics to see how it looks. I think a grille guard painted Arizona Beige would look great if it didn't have all that stuff cluttering up the middle where the truck's original grille should be showing through.
I'm still considering a grille guard but I'm thinking about a Westin Sportsman in chrome.
Again, welcome to the klan.

Yeah I have seen that about the Ranch-hands, I have also found out that there is a new company called Frontier. And the guy who started it used to be one of the top people for Ranchhand.
Long story short, the Frontier follows the body lines (flares out at the grill) and has the same honeycomb over the grill without blocking the view. And the name plate is on the upper bar, only it does not have the Euro style bars covering the head lights.
It is wider 2" at the up rights than the ranchhand 1.5", and uses a heavier gauge at the bolt thru brackets.
My only draw back agin is that they dont have the head light guards, and they are a new company, not alot of reviews out there yet.So I will ahve to wait and see. And oh yeah the pricing is about the same for either. (that dont help decide any)
