A turn for the worst on the new F-350 KR
I got to Zender Ford to learn that when I say order the truck with every possible option, has no meaning . It is a long box-check, It has 4 Captains Chairs-Check, It has Reverse Senceing-Check, has the 6.0 Diesel engine-Check and is the right color chestnut-Check. So whats Missing you ask?
Ever hear af a F-350 without trailer tow?
Weres the Moonroof?
Weres the in dash 6 disc changer?
weres the FX-4 Package?
Therefore, I have declined the order and I think I' am going back to Metro Ford in Calgary, it appears I shouldn't of left there in the first place. This was all over the price of the truck that is why I tried another dealer.
I' am not flameing Zender Ford they are a good dealership it is just the fellow I' am dealing with is the owners son whom is a extremely nice person and actually has a very good business head and he is only 25. He started working for his Dad a couple of months ago and probily is not up to snuff on the order guide. I think this was a honest mistake and my compassionate side says to take it on the condition he puts Trailer Tow and a 6 disc Cd in it and forgive him for the mis order. after all I think it was a honest mistake.
What do you think?

yeah take the truck...you don't keep them that long and winter is coming anyways so I doubt you'll even be opening that sunroof anyways....or you can just have them order you a new one and request your presence at the KTP to be the first one to start it when it rolls off the line!
Even though you are trading several times over a short period, it's still a considerable amount of $ that you're spending on a truck and thus, I'd have it exactly the way I wanted it before I accepted delivery. Hence, I'd hold out and get EXACTLY what you want installed from the factory... namely the sunroof.
Just my two cents... Get EXACTLY what you want.

I agree with RP and 66Boss351. If you have to special order it from the factory, get it the way you want it. I say that for two reasons. First, you are the customer. That doesn't mean you should blast the salesman for an honest mistake but still you are the customer and if they want your business, they need to earn it. It'll be a good learning experience for the young salesman. After all, we all learn from our mistakes. Secondly, with as much as you're paying for that truck, you shouldn't have to settle for anything less than what you want. Just my two cents for what its worth!
Get it with what you want in it before you take posession of it.
I origionally went to get a 2001 Harley Supercrew but when I was getting ready to hand over the check to the dealer my wife asked me one more time if this is what I wanted and I told her yes, except I wished it was a 4X4. The sales person held up his hands as if not to except the check and told me about this King rancH thing he has in the back being prepared for the floor. He told me that if I wanted to drive a truck that was supposed to be a class above the rest and have 4X4 along with it, that I should take a look. I was disappointed at first that he and my wife were shooting down my dreams of owning a new HD Supercrew but when I saw them waxing the King rancH, I fell in love. Now the sales person and I are living happily ever after. JUST KIDDING! It was the truck I fell in love with.
Anyhow am happy that I got it with everything that came with it. This is also my two cents worth. There now you have 4 cents.

Blue,
Bottom line, get exactly what you want. If owning a F350 KR with less than all the options you ordered is an acceptable condition then that's getting what you want in an unconventional way but if it makes you happy then do it. If not getting every option that you wanted or requested is unacceptable then order a new one and read the order forms before they hit the send button to Ford and wait for it to be built. My 2 cents...
Good luck and Congratulations on either decision you make.

I' am walking now
You won' t believe this now,
Being the truck was ordered for me Ford Credit approved the lease no problem. Truck shows up I decide no way Ford credit says fine you signed the lease it is your baby, I say no fing way, Got mad and hired a Lawyer against Ford Credit and the dealer. Fine I went to were I always delt before and find out I have been blacklisted as I' am willing to buy outright instead of a commercial lease like I have always done before. They say if I don' t take the misordered King Ranch it will be classed as a repo and will screw my credit rateing.
To make a long story short They will know who I' am when I' am done. My brother has my lightning for the weekend as this fiasco wasn' t planned.
The good news though is the dealer I normally deal with in Calgary is going to swing the deal just fine.

Now that hacks me off big time! My better half works for Ford Motor Credit and said that if you did not take posession of the truck that it is not yours! First off, did you sign papers to an exactly what you wanted truck? Was it the King Ranch with all of the options that was ordered on paper and the paper that you signed? I would email several people at Ford and let them know what is happening! Ford does not want any bad publicity at all and should cancel the deal. If you did not take the truck and drive it then it is still new and the dealer can still sell it as new. I would be at that dealer every day and be yelling!!!! The dealer (if they are a reputable dealer) would want you to be happy cause Ford rates these dealers big time. Let us know and I would be raising cane big time to everyone involved. The loudest gets things done. Let's just say that is why Chrysler bought back a Caravan I had at the price I paid (7 months later), even with miles on it and found me the one I wanted. They didn't like me calling all of the time.
Damoncaravanman,
The term " Did you sign the papers to the exactly wanted truck", Is kind of a yes and no answer. What I mean is Exactly what I want ment the MSRP was suppost to be $ 62,895.00 Canadian funds. The MSRP on the one that came in was $59,955.00. So, did I sign to the exactually agreed truck? that is kind of a yes and kind of a no
. I have washed my hands of it and turned it into the hands of my Lawyer. If Ford wants to get into a Pissing match, Fine. My *** is bigger.
