Say the last goodbye

.

.

Sept 4 is the day my 04 KIng Ranch F-350 Crew Cab is at the dealer and it is time to say goodbye to the Supercrew. The truck is pushing 5 months old and as you all know my trucks live a very hard life.
The 04 has the 6.0 Diesel in it and it was ordered with every possible option you could put on it, the 04 is Chestnut in color and I' am looking foward to getting it.

On another note

Sorry to all the gang I haven' t been online the past few days I was in the hospital with a mild heart attack so that screwed things up for a while. Gives no no choice to stop smoking now.

Talk to you all later

Sarman,

Everything is going to be fine, just alot of needles and monitoring and everything was fine. The verdict was, is I must lower the stress in my life or next time I could be pushing thistles . I must stop smoking I will admit 2 packages a day is not good and I will be able to keep the new truck smelling new instead of the worlds biggest mobile ashtray.

Glad you are still with us!
My last cigarette was at noon, January 12, 1992. The girl I wanted to date told me she didn't go out with guys who smoked. (I had smoked for almost 30 years) Gave up the cigs and got a wife! Still miss the smokes, but won't go back. Hope giving them up works for you, too.

Pat,

Glad to hear it was minor, I'm going through the "lifestyle changes" now. Basically the Doc is telling me to stop smoking like a chimney (2pks a day myself), drinking like a fish, not exercising, and eatin all the wrong foods (and basically "If you enjoy it STOP doing it").

The job I have now was to replace a person who had a mild attack (and subsequent triple bypass) at 44. Where I came from a good friend of mine had a massive attack @ 36, he was on the verge of going down the long road when he got a transplant. Unfortunately the heart wasn't a good match and he struggled with it for years (rejection and stuff). Went in for another bypass and "valve job" and was on the way out yet again. Through a miracle he actually got ANOTHER match and a 2nd transplant, this is rare BTW and his last. (we suggested that he get a zipper put in).

That was 5 years ago and he's still ticking along and healthier than he's been since before the 1st attack (note, I went to HIS cardiologist 'cause he's got to be good )but after seeing what he went through you would think I'd be smarter.

I guess it used to be the guys older than me going through this so I didn't worry as much, but NOW I'm that age

Good luck, started the Zyban today...

Update:

Zender Ford called today (monday) I' am picking up the new one tomorrow I will be posting pics about 6:00 pm as I' am in a coarse all day.
The cardoligist says even though I' am 27 I' am not invinsible as bad hearts run on both sides of the family so if I don't quit Smokeing and Drinking I can purcue a career in Daisy pushing . So I have turned over a new leaf, New truck No Smokeing, I' am seeking counceling by my uncle whom is telling me I have enough money to retire as long as I quit buying Vehicles . The verdict is I'am selling Titan Bits and my Partnership in another venture and I think I' am going to enjoy the rest of my life stress free.

JUst drink Scotch .

Pat,

Glad to hear that the truck is arriving fresh from Louisville, Kentucky in the coming days...

Also, I'm glad to hear that you're doing better and that you have the freedom to make a life altering decision by selling off your investments and partnership to better your life... that's really great.

Take care of yourself Pat. You're a helluva a guy... I look forward to seeing the new truck!

Angry A turn for the worst

I got to Zender Ford to learn that when I say order the truck with every possible option, has no meaning . It is a long box-check, It has 4 Captains Chairs-Check, It has Reverse Senceing-Check, has the 6.0 Diesel engine-Check and is the right color chestnut-Check. So whats Missing you ask?

Ever hear af a F-350 without trailer tow?
Weres the Moonroof?
Weres the in dash 6 disc changer?
weres the FX-4 Package?

Therefore, I have declined the order and I think I' am going back to Metro Ford in Calgary, it appears I shouldn't of left there in the first place. This was all over the price of the truck that is why I tried another dealer.
I' am not flameing Zender Ford they are a good dealership it is just the fellow I' am dealing with is the owners son whom is a extremely nice person and actually has a very good business head and he is only 25. He started working for his Dad a couple of months ago and probily is not up to snuff on the order guide. I think this was a honest mistake and my compassionate side says to take it on the condition he puts Trailer Tow and a 6 disc Cd in it and forgive him for the mis order. after all I think it was a honest mistake.

What do you think?

See other post....

I'd get exactly what you want Pat. That's alot of money in a truck and, even though you trade frequently, I'd still get it PRECISELY the way that I wanted it.... It won't take that long to get another 350 from KTP.

I agree, when you spend that much money and wait to order a truck they should not expect you to compromise.

Even if he's a great guy (and I'm sure he is) it will be a lesson learned for him, plus they can sell the truck.

If you really like the guy, cancel the existing order and let him reorder the truck YOU THE PAYING customer want. I can't afford to trade a lot and at any moment am stuck with a vehicle for several years. The dealer, no matter how nice he is, doesn't make the payments for years....

My problem is the "instant gratification" thing I have going on. Once I'm excited about something I gotta' have it NOW!.

BTW, what about the summer Lightning? (man I miss my l'il red beast ! )
