KR Bench Seat ?

First time post!
I bought a new 2003 King Ranch Supercrew about 3 months ago. I love the truck. But, I bought it of the lot with the rear bucket seats that I thought I could live with. Can anyone tell me where I might get a rear bench seat to replace the buckets and center console? Also, Does the bench sit on the same mounts or is the bench mounted some other way. I would like to replace it myself to save money. I am not a mechanical genius but I am not an idiot either. Thanks in advance! My email is waterboy23@sbcglobal.net
Later, Tom23

I'm sure RP is the one for this.....

I can't think there would be any structural difficulties, but unless you were lucky enough to find a wrecked KR I dread to think how much Ford would charge for a seat.

Unless there happens to be someone who is thinking vice versa !!

This has been discussed several times. From what I remember the bench seat doesn't mount the sameway. There are not holes to mount the bench seat. If you remove the buckets you would have to drill new holes in the body, and fill the ones from the buckets and console. If I remember correctly that is.

KRC is correct from what I understand as well. The buckets and bench mount in different places and thus, anchoring the bench would be difficult. Well, maybe not difficult however; safety would be a VERY LARGE concern for me.

Best of luck

Thank You!

Thanks guys! I was hoping I could do it pretty easily. I guess not. Looks like I will have to listen to the wife complain about it for a while. I don't mind too much she wants four kids I only want two!! Can,t fit more than two with buckets. Looks like I need to keep my KR for a long time! LOL! Thanks again guys, Tom23
